It’s Dewalt. It’s great. What else is there to say
I cut up 100+ plus clean HT pallets year for fire pit firewood for myself and the neighbors. This is the Dewalt quality we have all learned to love. Good power. Great variable control that is easy to use. Getting blades in and out is a little more difficult then It should be. But once it, you know the blade is secure. It is on the heavy side. Great for helping cut in an easy well set up location, garage, shop, backyard. But I wouldn’t want to make too many cuts on a ladder holding this over my head. But the weight helps control vibration and gives a more secure hold on the saw. This is a solid piece of tool that is strong, has good speed control, has acceptable vibration and will work for you all day long.Don’t hesitate, wait for the sale price and buy it. You will not be sorry.

Sturdy and useful for ripping wood, DIY repairs, demo.. Get earplugs though!
I am not a professional and I am pretty new to power tools - I use this about 2-4 times a month for household demo/ light reno/ hobby furniture restoring tasks, cutting down too long firewood etc. I personally like that this is corded I don't care to or need to mess with batteries etc. I also use the multi position blade option regularly and I like that I have it . I have used this for demo, rough cuts, etc and it is holding up well. Not too much kick, or if it does I readjust. Its not super light but I don't want it to be, this is a dangerous item if used casually, the weight helps stabilize and reminds me to be careful I am a 5"6' woman with a strong frame I don't have much of a problem with handling it .. Make sure to use eye protection and gloves people , and earplugs- it's not quiet!

Must have for any home owner.
I bought this saw to cut up a hot tub that died on me. I really didn't want to take it to the dump so I figured if I bought a recip saw I would be able to cut into smaller pieces and put it in my regular garbage can and send it on its way over a couple of weeks time. When I opened the box it came in it looked very sturdy and we'll made. I love the ease of being able to change the blades so quickly and easily. Also being able to aim the blades in 4 different directions is really nice. Being that it's a 12 amp saw it is able to work at a good pace for quite awhile without getting over heated. When I cut apart my old hot tub it tore through very easily without any hesitation. It has rubber iKey areas for you to grasp on to when cutting. I will use it to cut down some dead abravitive shrubs tomororw. That shouldnt pose any problems for the Dewalt Recip saw. So far I love the saw and plan on using it on any and everthing around my house. Pick yourself up one and make your life easier. ;)

what you expect from DeWalt
I do not use this professionally, but I understand why it is top choice with contractors.
