Ajax Tools Pneumatic Brake Pin & Bushing Driver Kit (AJX-A1166)

Works good if the pins and bushings aren’t seized. I work as a heavy diesel and equipment field tech and that seems to be all I see. The trucks i service with these brakes typically spend a lot of time in conditions that promote corrosion. I utilize the most power Ingersoll Rand hammer at 150 PSI. This tool will get them out of there is light corrosion but nothing else. If not, the pin heads will mushroom complicating problems. The bushings aren’t much better if corroded and the tool tends to crush and then cock the bushings making the removal a bit more difficult. For seriously stuck pins and bushings stick to a press. Otherwise, this works ok.

Just got a chance to use the tool today and it works great. I work on a fleet that has 185 trailers, 5 yard trucks, and approx 70-80 trucks. It will get used a lot

I have a snap on air hammer and the tool won't push pin out I have a press for that any way I bought these for the bushing tool. sometimes it will push the bushing out and sometimes it won't and sometimes it gets stuck halfway

As a class 8 mechanic I have bought the lisle brake pin tools but they would roll the threads with in a month . If you work on class 8 trucks and do brakes the correct way this is the tool. Works grate and is one piece solid metal don't have to worry about it coming loose and damaging the tool . When and if I wear it out I will buy them again

if you do truck brakes ...then you know how hard the bushings can come out .....this works great, the two tools do install and removal in record time

They work really well. Would highly recommend to anyone doing brake jobs
