2014 Subaru outback
Got a Lisle 8qt Dispenser for my oil changes but lugging the 8qt around in the back cargo area is a pain. This is a perfect size for outback 3.6 owners that burns oil and buys the 12 quarts boxes to the 55 gallon drums. 1 out of 2 tests are done.1. let it sit on its side for an hour, nozzle, cap and the part you screwed the nozzle in filled with oil. no leaking no signs of oil seeping through the threads of both ends of the nozzle.2. last test is letting it roll around in the cargo area to see if its leaks......Sorry dont wanna clean up the mess03/16/25 UpdateStill works great but oil seeps through at the neck after you pour....

Because You Can't Trust Shops
I do my own oil changes, because you just can't trust shops these days. I get it; things in the economy are getting hard all around, but there's just no excuse for shops doing a shoddy job, substituting cheaper oil or filters, failing to replace the washer, etc. This jug makes my at-home oil changes much easier. I can make sure that I'm adding the proper amount of oil for my engine without yanking the dipstick a hundred times. Before I start, I put the proper amount in this jug. I put some oil into the oil filter before I replace it, and when I'm ready, the rest goes into the fill port. It's a small thing that makes a job that I really wish I did not have to do myself go a lot quicker. There are other options like pumps and the like, but I'm told that those things tend to get messy. Yes, do-it-yourself is cheaper when it comes to oil changes, but I'm just trying to make sure it's done and done right. The money isn't even a factor here. There are videos online of shops that just drive cars into the garage for a bit and don't even change (or even check) the oil. They'll drive it out and charge you for the oil change without hesitation. What a world!

Needs a better cap, but otherwise perfect.
This makes oil changes a breeze. The cap/lid isn't the best quality, and it doesn't thread on well at all. The spout leaves a bit to be desired as well. The body itself is excellent. Clear marks, accurate (I checked with a graduated cylinder to confirm), durable and thick plastic. If the cap and spout were better, it'd be five stars. Just use a funnel and you'll be fine when changing oil with this jug.

Well made 5 Gallon oil container!
Perfect sized container for changing our Diesel truck's oil. I especially like that it has good caps to help keep it clean after every use.

Great value and works well.
As it is less expensive to purchase oil in 12 quart boxes it become a bit of a hassle to measure the amount your pouring in your engine. This has a clearly marked gauge on the side to measure your fluid amount. The top has a cover as well as the pour spout so you don’t have to worry about dirt and bugs etc getting into your oil measuring device between uses while sitting on a shelf in the garage, shed or barn.

This is a great oil measurer!
Bought this for my oil changes on my truck and what a difference it made. So much easier now to check the quarts and very easy to pour. Makes the oil changes so much easier now.

Does what it says, thin plastic on nozzle
Received this, and works as intended but the plastic for the nozzle is very thing and over threading will tear it.
