Super fun, entertaining and educational.
This was such a fun activity for my six year old. She’s doing Collections for mini 4H and we added these to her gem collection. Not only did she enjoy finding all the new gems, she learned so much about them. Thank you!

Great kids activity. They loved it!
The kids really enjoyed excavating the dinosaurs. It comes with a dozen eggs and a dozen sets of tools so I could see this being a good thing for dino themed birthday parties or just getting them out one or two eggs at a time for an activity. My kids are 5 and 7 and my youngest took it very slow and methodically chipping away and brushing away while my oldest was more excitedly chipping away and examining what dinosaur he got. They include a sheet to see what dinosaur you got, it's name, what it eats and some details about it.Tips:1. If you run them under warm water for a couple seconds before starting, it keeps some of the dust down.2. Using a plastic container, you can keep some of the dust contained. I told my kids that was their work site and gave them their tools and let them go at it. It doesn't get that messy and whatever dust gets out can be cleaned up with a paper towel and warm water.

My 6 year old son has been watching minecraft videos
My 6 year old son has been watching minecraft videos- so he starts telling my wife and I that he wants to mine gems...digging up the driveway...so birthday rolls around and she decides to get him this gem set.Pros - gems are nicely polished stones of a variety. tiger eye, onyx, quartz, turquoise...The cons...it comes entombed in some kind of plaster with quality of concrete, and the tools to free these stones a 6 year old can't use a wooden mallet, wood spike, brush to smash this dusty mess up so guess who got asked to free his gems...dad. I had to smash that concrete and then clean up that mess. Was it cool? Sure. Was he happy? Yep. So it's all good. It's not the worst toy a kid can get, but it seems that it could be easier for a kid to break open -as I was smashing it with that little kids sized wooden mallet...to free those kids gems.If your kid likes minecraft they will probably like this, but you're still going to be stuck cleaning up the mess. :D enjoy the destruction! Claim those gems....and make your kid laugh. GL

Making a little boy's fantasy come true!
I am so excited and happy to use this as part of a buried treasure hunt and archeological dig we are "burying" in our backyard for our 5 year old grandson!!! I could not have asked for a more perfect kit that includes everything that he will be using when he unearths these hidden gems! He is obsessed with digging and discovering hidden treasures and can't wait to share in his delight and excitement when it happens! I might be more excited than he will be lol to enjoy this memorable experience with Grandma and Grandpa in our backyard! I look forward to purchasing more of the hands on kits your company offers-thank you!

So much fun!
My kiddos LOVE dinosaurs. We’ve done excavation kits before that were incredibly hard to get through. These you soak for a few minutes then let the kids have at it. We did them on the kitchen counter with large pieces of paper underneath. We did get a little muddy and messy, I’ll probably have them do the rest of them outside. TOTALLY worth getting. The glow in the dark stickers- think those hard plastic stars you put on your ceiling as a kid. Super fun and my kids won’t trash them in 5 minutes. This kit also comes with a guide for them to identify their dinosaur and gives them some fun facts about each kind. How awesome would this be to pair with books and other activities about dinosaurs. Could even have the older kids give a presentation or report on the dinosaur they find in their egg. I plan to throw a few of these in my suitcase for a rainy day activity on vacation.
