It works fairly well. The handle isn’t as wide as another one I had and the strap isn’t as long. Having a longer strap makes it easier to weigh. For the price, this isn’t bad.

Reliable and accurate! I bought this in June 2024 and have used it on every trip I’ve taken since, and it’s been a huge help. For example, this morning I weighed my checked luggage, which was about 45.5 lbs on the scale. Obviously since you’re hanging the bag off the scale it’s more like an art than a science. At the airport, it weighed in at 46 lbs. My advice would be to round up/add a pound when weighing to be safe, but for an affordable, light, and functional piece of equipment I think this more than does the job and I would recommend it. It’s super light and portable and easy to stick in your bag too. Happy with this and would purchase again!

This scale has a marvelously useful feature that isn't emphasized in Amazon's product description. When you lift a bag using this or any other similar scale, you can't hold it absolutely still and so the reading fluctuates around some center point. Which number to choose? This scale solves that problem. After you have held the bag for a few seconds using this scale, an internal algorithm averages the fluctuations and displays "H" and a fixed number. This is the weight of your bag, and it is displayed for a minute or so. The auto-off feature helps preserve battery life but the CR2032 battery is large for a use like this and unless you regularly weigh your luggage it may last for years. And the battery is a commonly available type.A minor down side: The instructions for replacing the battery don't reflect the current design of the device. A small philips-head screw secures the battery holder. They supply a small screwdriver. Loosen the screw a couple turns (it won't fall out, there's a retainer ring), then the battery holder can be pinched between thumb and forefinger per the instructions and it will come out. I suppose that in the past there was a problem with the battery holder falling out, so they fixed it.Martt Harding

I always rush to get ready and then after I shove everything in my suitcase I'm thinking to myself, "oh no what if it's over the limit" and then I remember I have this and pull it out and use it. And it makes the process so much smoother with no anxiety. Then I slip it into the suitcase in case I buy too much on vacay. Works really well.
