The Solid Truth About States of Matter With Max Axiom, Super Scientist (Graphic Science)

Most of the series is great, but this one has a problem
The author tried to simplify the idea of atoms and molecules, but the information isn't correct. There is no such thing as a salt molecule. Atoms must be held together by shared electrons to make a molecule, and in table salt or any other salt, one atom gives up one or more electrons and another atoms takes up one or more electrons. There is no sharing of electrons between sodium and chlorine in salt. If you change the word "molecule" on pages 8 and 9 to the word "compound," then the rest of the book is fine.

Great way to make basic science interesting
I purchased the entire series of these books for my first grader son after he found one at the local library. They are an easy to read graphic novel format with the same look as superhero comics. Using bright colors, action scenes and simple language they explain some basic scientific concepts in a way that children can not only understand but enjoy. As I hoped they got my son interested in knowing more about the topics. Definitely worth the money and fun to read even for adults unfamiliar with the topics themselves.

My 8 year old son and I love Max Axiom comics
My 8 year old son and I love Max Axiom comics! So great to teach with and spurs on many great discussions, they're extremely well written and thought out. Impressive interplay between being easy enough to read through without glossing over interesting details.

Love the series just wish the books were longer
The idea of these books is great, but they need to make the book longer with more of a plot so that children have time to get into the adventure and learn the information.

nice series of comic books that have science sewn through them.
bought this for my nephew. He loves science, and at age 9 this is perfect for him. It is in a comic book style that will attract his attention.

It's okay
As with the other Max Axiom series, this was just not for us. Others give it great reviews but for a highly-functiong and visual autistic, it just was not for us.

Its a magazine!
9 pounds for a few pages of incorrect basic science. A cheap booklet with superhero pictures. Feel completely ripped off!!
