Like this microwave-combi oven very much as has easy use handle on the front, not a small inbuilt slot on door like last one we had. Also like the flatbed idea as can fit bigger trays in when want to cook chips or bake on convection oven setting The other thing we like is it has flat control panel that is easy to clean with damp cloth Had this as a gift to replace another combi-microwave that had packed up after many years All round very happy, Thanks

We’ve taken the 3 year warranty, just in case, as the last 2 really good microwaves expired 1-2 months outside warranty. The last one was a hotpoint flatbed, no one knows what was wrong with it, we paid £140, I think that’s a lot for 13 months of light usage. So we’re either unlucky, or that’s how bad they are made, just a shame as the hotpoint was quiet and heated things evenly.So as I say just in case, for very little money, the extra warranty is worth every penny. It works really well, and functions well, easy to use. It’s definitely a bit noisy, and you do get hot spots, but I think we stand a better chance of this one lasting over the hotpoint. From recommendation, Sharp seem to be a better make than hotpoint.

I like the microwave very much, it is easy to use. The only downsides for me are that the grill is not very powerful and the internal light is not bright enough making it difficult to see what you are cooking.

Had this for some time now, very easy to clean, the buttons are a bit fiddley to use need pressing a few time to work sometimes.

Functionally, I have no complaints with this unit: it works well and is easy to clean. However, purchasers should be warned that, when the door is open, the edge of the bottom section of the metal casing is exposed just above the lower plastic trim - and it is VERY SHARP. I found out the hard way whilst cleaning the unit. Pressing quite firmly with a cloth and wiping horizontally in this area, the sharp casing-edge cut right through the cloth and deep into two of my fingers. The manufacturers need to pay more attention to this. Maybe it's a quality control issue. Just thought I should warn other prospective purchasers.

Excellent service and product

This replaced a beautiful, top end Panasonic that did not last - to have a new magnitron (makes microwaves) was the same price as this total machine) - and it works very well.On arrival I found it very loud - but after 3 or 4 uses it quirtened down.I'd read in reviews that some people found the controls complicated - for me they are not as IF you want to do something simple like Microwave, Defrost or use the Convection oven ... it is straight forward. Just press the apropiate button and the Time and Start! Simple[There are many more complex things/combinations that are on offer - but the simple things are simple]The outside top of the case gets hot at one side when using Convection at 200 - as you would expect. So you would not want to leave anything on it. I don't find it a problem.I like the feel of closing/opening the door as it is reassuringly 'solid'.The interior light could be brighter - but I find that is the case with many combination/microwave ovensAll in all a good product that is well priced and GOOD VALUE

This Sharp microwave is slightly bigger and more powerful than my last Sharp 800w microwave. Very pleased with it just need to get used to the higher power level which means less cooking time than the previous model. I had my last microwave for years and so wanted another Sharp to replace it. Easy to clean, no turntable as it is a flatbed.
