Performs well for me
I believe in changing automatic transmission fluid much more frequently than most manufacturers recommend. Modern automatic transmissions are crazy expensive to replace. I try to do a fluid change every 30 to 50,000 mi even though most manufacturers say 100,000 mi or forever. I've used this Valvoline multi-vehicle import on Honda and Volvo products with excellent results for years now.

Works on 2007 Honda CRV
After reading NUMEROUS reviews and threads on various platforms from here on Amazon to Reddit, I decided to go with this Valvoline import multi vehicle transmission fluid. I’m really glad I did. It works great, the transmission shifts perfectly, and I’m getting ready to change the fluid out again (doing the drain and fill operation). I’m certain that the “Only use genuine Honda fluid” people are either “following the other Honda snobs”, or had a personal bad experience, whether it was changing fluid using a non compatible type, or waiting until the transmission was already about to fail before changing the fluid for the very first time, and used something other than Honda fluid and the transmission died. I find it hard to believe that the 2007 Honda CRV owners manual on page 273 clearly states to use ATF-Z1 fluid, and the back of this bottle clearly states that it is ATF-Z1 compatible. I would think over the years that either a consumer, or Honda themselves, would have brought a law suit against Valvoline for misrepresentation of this product and its compatibility, just for monetary or proprietary reasons. I’ve used it without issue, 185,000 miles on the transmission, with ZERO issues. Don’t be afraid to save allot of money by using this $5 per quart fluid vs Honda’s $10-$12 per quart DW-1 (Honda changed formula to DW-1 but this is the backwards compatible fluid today). The original ATF-Z1 made by Honda is no longer available. Hope this review helps you make a better decision. Enjoy!

Valvoline Import Vehicle Automatic Transmission Fluid, Full Synthetic
This is a good routine maintenance product for your Import Vehicle. I've used this on my older 2010 Mazda5 as well as other older "Import" vehicles. I have had absolutely no issues using this product, especially on older, higher mileage vehicles. I abide by whatever the Owners Manual maintenance recommendations are. This product is a good value for the price. I was pleased with this purchase. It will revitalize the viscosity of your vehicle's transmission fluid. It will promote smooth shifting and reliable automatic transmission operation. It is a routine maintenance lubricant product. It is not a "miracle fix" for already damaged automatic transmissions. I also replace the transmission filter as part of this vehicle routine maintenance task, including completely cleaning the magnets inside the transmission oil pan, as well as cleaning the magnetic drain plug. Some believe there is no real cause to replace the automatic transmission fluid in modern era vehicles. Again, my choice is to abide by the Vehicle Owners Manual maintenance interval recommendations. There is also something significant to be said for reasonable transmission loads, sudden erratic vehicle acceleration and driving habits in general. This Valvoline Full Synthetic ATF is a good product. I would rate it 5-Stars if I knew it was identical to the vehicle OE transmission fluid. Regardless it has performed well and without incident whenever I have used it (in higher mileage automatic transmissions, typically over 100K miles).

Do it yourself and save more money
I bought this oil to replace the old fluid in my daughter's sonatas transaxleIt's the same oil you can buy at any store, but I got a really good price on it and by doing the work myself I saved about $300 from the dealership quote

Quality Fluid
Purchased for 2008 Kia. Make sure to check your owner's manual and purchase the correct type of transmission fluid for your vehicle. A universal type transmission fluid may not be the best choice.
