Fuse holder shipped with 12 gauge wire. It accepts automotive "mini" fuses also known as APM or ATM. This is the smaller of the two types of fuses very commonly found in newer cars. The larger fuses, which this holder does NOT accept are "regular" also known as APR, ATC, or ATO. No fuse is included, allowing the selection of the proper fuse for your application.As I answered in the question posted on the product page...Note that the maximum current allowed through 12 gauge wire cannot be answered simply. (See http://www.powerstream.com/Wire_Size.htm) You can feel safe with 9 Amps. Do more homework regarding specifics of your application and you may be OK with 41 Amps or more.The holder is definitely water resistant, great for an automotive application. I would not try testing how waterproof it is by submersing it.The ends are prepared to be connected with splices. I connected one end to my car battery using a ring terminal and the other end to 12 gauge wire using a butt splice. Heat shrink is helpful to slow oxidation.My application was to wire an amateur radio transceiver about 6 feet away that can output 50 watts of power. I connected to the transceiver using two sets of red and black Anderson Power Pole connectors, which is almost a standard in the ham community.

Well made and I used it to replace a soldered in line fuse on a computerized pressure cooker that crapped out the second time I used it. It has not failed yet, and I use it often. Good insulation so no worry of shorting out.
