Great Big TV!
I've been looking at getting a new TV for some time now being that our 2018 55" TCL 6 Series (a very nice TV) was a little small for our living room. I was looking at the TCL 6 series again in a 65" or 75", but then found this 75" Samsung at a similar price point.Aesthetics & Remote- For me, a couple of big selling points for this TV that were NOT picture quality related was the Samsung One Remote (love it) and the TV and bezel being so thin (2.4" total). In my opinion, the bezel being the brushed grey is also a nice touch that makes it more high end looking than the black bezels on some of the more expensive Q series TV's.Picture- Pictures here are from some 4k YouTube videos I was viewing. Their is some glare from, but actually not bad at all considering its a sunny day and our room is quite light. Blacks are deep black (check the sushi photos), and the 120hz motion reduces blur. The one picture does show that viewing gets a little darker on an angle, but its not bad from one part of the sectional that has that angle. Overall, I think the picture is really nice and would probably need a OLED/QLED right next to this TV to be able to pick apart where this 8 Series falls short. Oh, and that OLED/QLED would cost 3-4x more.Sound- TV speakers seemed fine but I immediately hooked up my old Samsung soundbar via the HDMI Arc so the TV remote controls that volume.Apps- One compliant is the lack of certain apps, mainly HBO Now. I only found the HBO Go and HBO Max. I've had HBO Now for some time originally purchased through Roku so I'll have to figure that out.I'm so happy I went with the 75" over the 65" for this room, the TV looks great center mounted on the wall. I bought a flush mount off Amazon that was extra wide to hit 3 studs, making it easier to center to that space. As of today (first day) I'm very happy with this purchase

Go with 2019 model over 2020.
After reading the user reviews and doing extensive research I decided on Samsung as the brand. I then decided to go with last year's (2019) model because of those user reviews. The 2020 model wasn't review nearly as well. I would highly recommend the 2019 model that I got, the features are excellent picture quality is perfect and paired with my PlayStation 4 Pro I get full use out of the set. The legs are solid and easy to install. Setup was fast and easy as well as enjoyable. I have a Samsung Galaxy phone and was able to do all of the setup and initialization using the phone. Instead of having to use the remote to type in email addresses and passwords. Plus now I can control the set using said phone from anywhere with access to the internet. If you forced me to say a negative or critique of the set it would be the sound out of the box is tinny with no Bass. But is easily fixed with the equalizer in the sound options menu. The HDR is incredible. Bright and colorful effects in games and movies are better than I thought it could be. I have zero regret with this purchase and I can say with absolute confidence that you will too.

Still Punching Above its weight class 3 YEARS LATER
I lucked out and grabbed this back in 2019 for just over 1k. If you look at the price now, that should be an indication of how strong this monitor/tv still is 3 years later.Picture Quality - Is simply stunning and has no issue keeping up with a PS5 (in either performance or "pretty" mode)Sound Quality - Let's face it, it is not good. /Pulls out soapbox People, please invest in a modest 5.1 sound system, it will last you several TVs. Heck, I have an old grey sony system that still uses optical out in one of my rooms. The thing is knocking on 20 years and still works.SMART features - Samsung TV does smart TV right. The other apps are there aswell.Remote - My least favorite thing about this set. It has less buttons than a fire stick remote, and this makes some app navigation a bit tedious.Overall This REMAINS a solid set that outperforms many items that were released last year. Save yourself some cash (so you can invest in a sound system) and grab this.

Samsung RU8000 65" TV
We really love this TV. Amazed at the picture quality. We watched a movie that we'd seen 3 or 4 times over the years after its 2003 release. Watching it yesterday felt like seeing it for the first time. Yeah we knew the plot, but the vividness almost made it feel different/better. Yeah the sound isn't great, but I haven't seen any flat screen have great sound. I added a Bose sound bar to it and wow, what a difference! This TV was selling a year ago for about $1600. But because Samsung is heavily pushing their new Q Series, the price on the RU8000 is less than half that. The RU8000 specs out as good, and in some areas, better than the Q60. We are not gamers, but all of the reviews that I read prior to purchase, said it was great for gamers. At some point I'll figure out how to connect the TV to my computer for viewing online programs. That will be great. I guess my only complaint so far is that I have to buy a new DVD player. My Sony unit that has given us great service for nearly a decade, can't be used. This TV doesn't have AV connections. I guess we will be forced into the 21st century, LOL.UPDATE: We still absolutely love this tv. I’d love to buy another one but they stopped making this model. I really love the Airdrop feature. I have an online subscription to a auto racing service, and I love that I can watch races on my large tv instead of my 28” computer screen.

Dead within 7 days
I purchased this item from E-Tronix, Inc. and it took about 2 week to ship and arrive. The slowest shipping of any item I have ever received from amazon.ca. It worked fine out of the box for about 4 days. Great picture just like every 8000 series Samsung I've owned. A while back I got a 55NU8000 and it worked great. On the 5th day, refused to power up. When you turn the device on, the Samsung logo comes up for about 20 seconds (10x longer than it takes for the TV to boot to pictures/sound) and then immediately turns itself off. You can tell it has turned off due to the red-light on the front. It says the condition is "New" but I'm wondering due to the price being about $300 dollars cheaper than even BestBuy and Amazon itself it is actually refurbished and mis-represented as "new". I mean, do "Condition: New" tvs typically die in just 5 days?Edit: UPDATE and HUGE *WARNING*. Samsung REFUSES to repair this TV bought in Canada, from a Canadian retailer, in QUEBEC stating it is the customer's fault for not closely examining the model number to see it ends in "A" for Produced for America and not "C" for produced for Canada. Absolute bull-c if you ask me. They expect you to google for what the final 4 digit of a model number mean before purchasing to know you won't be covered under warranty...even if your TV dies in just 5 measly days.Furthermore, Etronix gave me a return label that did not include return shipping. The cost of shipping this TV from BC back to Quebec will probably be 1/5th the price I paid for this pile of junk.
