The Timex T71912 Youth digital watch is reliable, durable, and readable in the dark, thanks to the integrated Indiglo night-light, but it's also flat-out fun to wear. It features an easily readable digital display with large, recognizable icons for the chrono, alarm, and timer functions, and a comfortable elastic fabric strap (for better dirt and stain resistance) with camouflage pattern. This watch also offers water resistance to 30 meters (99 feet), 12/24-hour time, durable translucent olive resin case, large function buttons, and Timex's unique Kids Loss Protection Plan. It's recommended for children ages 6 and older. The Indiglo night-light uniformly lights the surface of the watch dial using patented blue electroluminescent lighting technology. It uses less battery power than most other watch illumination systems, enabling your watch battery to last longer. The Night Mode feature allows you to illuminate the Indiglo night-light for 3 seconds with any button press, regardless of the mode or function. Timex understands that kids often lose things, even their most prized possessions, which is why this watch is covered by the Timex Kids Loss Protection Plan. If the watch is lost, Timex will replace it with the same style (or similar if your style is not available) at the price of $10 for up to one year from the original date of purchase, with no questions asked. Details are included in the printed instructions that come with the watch. As a company with cutting-edge electronic technology developed for pocket calculators, Casio entered this field confident that it could develop timepieces that would lead the market.Today, Casio is focusing its efforts on solar-powered radio-controlled watches: the built-in solar battery eliminates the nuisance of replacing batteries, atomic timekeeping means the users never have to reset the time. Recently, Casio launched a series of Bluetooth watches that sync to the users cell phone to automatically update the time. Casio is always moving time forward. Kids watch
My 12 year old picked it out. He really likes it. And it’s a Timex. Has a back light so you can see the time in the dark

This is the best watch I have ever owned.
This is the best watch I have ever owned. Period. It has a digital clock (with seconds), a chronometer (stopwatch), an alarm (only one) a timer (can go up to 23 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds), and the date and month. I got this watch almost two and a half years ago, and the elastic is still perfectly stretchy, and it still tells time great. I have lost it overnight in a field, lost it in a snowy field (to find it an hour later, undamaged), I have gotten gravel bits in the backlight button (still works perfectly), and the best part is, it’s so comfortable, I can sleep in it! The watch is nice and small, so it can be worn for pretty much anything. I find the bulky watches (or 'big face') very annoying and uncomfortable. I would not recommend the other colors because they do not have elastic bands and are uncomfortable. If the band looks too little kiddish for you (I’m thirteen and I’m fine with it) then you can get a new band, but I would seriously recommend keeping it, because it is very comfortable and easy to adjust. Plus it’s elastic so you can just slip it on instead of having to clip it like a belt, which I find annoying. The watch is not waterproof, so make sure to take it off before you take a bath, shower or go swimming. It is water resistant though, so if you get caught in the rain or something, then it should be fine. I know there are more expensive and ‘nicer’ watches out there, but seriously, you get your money’s worth with this one.

Arrived with a dying battery
The watch arrived with a half dead battery. When I press the indiglo button, the time almost disappears because the watch is using what’s left of its battery to light it up. Not to mention the box it came in was demolished. Looked like it just came back from its ninth tour in Vietnam. The watch was off its holder and was just flopping around in the box. Thats what you can expect from UPS; atrocious shipping condition. They’re the worst. Luckily the watch still works but not pleased with the shipping at all

Not impressed
A short band that didn’t allow for growth and the buckle used for adjust the band was rather cheap looking. The box didn’t include instructions on how to operate the various functions. I returned it

Great watch!
Written by the user of this watch, Sean Ebels-Duggan's son.My mom bought me this watch because I frequently go down to my friend's house, a block away. This way I could know when it was time to go home without needing a stationary clock. It works great. I've had it more than six months and it's still going strong. All of the functions are great, although I hardly ever use the alarm. I've discovered many uses for the stopwatch, and the timer is great if you have a time limit on something you do (e.g. video games). The stretchy band works great, and I'm assuming that if I can find new batteries when the batteries burn out, I'll be wearing it for at least another ten years, probably more.I was in the UK recently, so I used the 24-hour and month.date function to adapt my watch to Britain (it can also be put on 12-hour and date-month).The stopwatch only uses even-numbered hundredths of seconds, but that's totally fine. Sometimes the buttons are a little hard to push. You have to hold them to set the watch, which is a bit painful to your fingers, but hardly. It also uses digital time, which awesome if you need to know the time quickly, or if you just can't tell time on analog watch/clock. It's a great item for the price, and I would recommend it to all.

DON'T BUY.......keep looking
I had a Timex Iron man watch when I was a teenager, twenty years ago, that I used for probably ten years. I even lost it one time add found out in a Christmas box the next year year. Apparently I had taken it off when I got a dress watch for Christmas and had put in the new watches box....guess what still going. I probably didn't change the battery but maybe once. I remember thinking even then I haven't changed this battery in years.Ok fast forward twenty years here is my oldest son who for Christmas, at age seven, all he wants at the top of all his Santa list is a watch. So what am I going to get him.....of course a Timex. I researched and found this one though it would be a great durable watch for him.First off after two weeks it stopped working on half the digits....so we contacted Santa's workshop (Amazon customer service) they referred is to the manufacturer aka Timex. They said send it here to the repair center. I did not only did I get a bill from them, after getting it back out was working ok great.....nope. I noticed when he got out of the shower on night it had a significant amount of condensation on the inside. I told my son I'm sorry I thought it was waterproof, he said it didn't do that in the shower before. I said you just got lucky so just take it off before you get in the shower/swim. About a month ago he came to me and said "it's messed up again". I said the battery is probably getting weak I'll change it out for you.....this after eight months....I'm thinking the battery want changed when they did the repair on it...ok I'll do it. Well now I see right on the back stamped on the cover " water resistant 30m" hmmmm that's odd when I crack it open the gasket that would seal it off, gone, not there. This happened after they "repaired" it from the factory that they even tried to bill me for a warranty repair.Bottom line....DON'T BUY
