Connecting Threads Beginner Lap Throw Quilt Kit (40.5" x 56.5") - Half-Square Triangle Fun (Chambray Tonal)

My first time at piecing a quilt. Directions are clear for piecing and placement. For the actual quilting go to youtube for more instructions. I used low loft batting and two yards of 44 inch wide fabric for backing. This kept the bulk to a minimum for quilting. The fabric is nice quality and the colors are beautiful. I found that I did not like the cutting of the fat quarters. I am will be making the quilt again, so I purchased 5 inch charms and a jelly roll directly from Connecting Threads.

This is a great kit but I kinda broke the rules and made a rail fence instead! I love the quality of the fabric and made this as a gift for my Mom! It’s hers to quilt now...

Looking back, I think I’d have gotten pre-cut fabric for my FIRST quilt… but I liked taking the extra time and learning each step of quilting during this project. I did need to look up some things and YouTube tutorials helped until I found that Connecting Threads offers their own tutorials for free, too. It’s not a quick project and maybe not a first quilt recommendation but still good for beginners and comes out beautiful. The fabric is gorgeous and colors blend nicely. I am very proud of the finished product. (I’ll update with photos once I finish the binding)

Im just learning how to quilt and this is a great way to start!I love the colors and even though the fabric isn’t the highest quality, I feel good being able to practice on something that didn’t cost a fortune.The instructions are great and I’ve gotten as far as cutting my squares and starting to put together the triangle shapes.I’d absolutely recommend this kit for a beginner and I couldn’t be happier.

I could not be more delighted with this kit! The selection of printed fabrics are charming! The instructions to make are clear cut and easy to understand. There are also options to make this quilt in 3 different manners in addition to the one that’s shown, that right there is a true deal! This is a fabulous quilt kit and it’s a terrific value!I’ll amend this review with a photograph of the quilt top once I make it. ❤️

This was my first quilt. It was both fun and easy.

This was my first time using a quilt kit. I really enjoyed the experience. I definitely thought the price was amazing. I didn’t use all the fabric cause I wanted a square blanket.

This will be a quick & easy project to do! The colors are wonderful and the fabric is very nice. The only downside is that the fabric was very wrinkled when it arrived.
