Don't forget to order a wallplate for this switch/dimmer
The Lutron Diva dimmable CFL/LED dimmer was easy to install. I purchased 2 of these (and forgot to order the wallplates)[FACE PALM], one to control my 5 Philips 423418 6-Watt (50-Watt) MR16 LED Indoor Flood GU10 Base,120-Volt Light Bulb, Dimmable in a track light setup and the other to control my 5 SYL CF14EL/TWIST/827/DIM/RP 14W CFL 29969 SYLVANIA LAMPS in a dining room chandelier. When controlling the above Philips LED bulbs with this dimmer, it will dim down to almost nothing (no useable light output) but it does have some flicker when it's dimmed down to ~20% useable light output with these lamps. On the up side, there's no buzz or hum at all, it's completely silent. The above Sylvania dimmable CFL lamps works well with this dimmer, I was able to get these CFL lamps dimmed down to ~30% from full brightness before the lamps would begin to "pop" on & off. The really nice thing about this dimmer is that you can set the dimming threshold via a small adjustment switch behind the wallplate. You do this by turning the switch on and setting the dimming slider to its lowest setting, then you can move the adjustment switch to a point to where the lights are dimmed as far as they'll go without popping on & off and reliably turn on with the dimming slider set to its lowest setting. Just like the dimmer controlling the LEDs, this one has zero buzz or hum controlling these dimmable CFL lamps. What I like about this dimmer/switch:It works with incandescent/halogen, CFL, and LED lamps. The toggle switch works smoothly and without any vagueness. The slider for the dimmer works smoothly/fluidly.The adjustable dimmer cutoff threshold adjustment works as advertized.

Took a chance
I was looking for a dimmer switch that would work withEnsenior 12 Pack 6 Inch Ultra-Thin LED Recessed Light with Junction Box, 2700K/3000K/3500K/4000K/5000K Selectable, 12W 110W Eqv, Dimmable, 1050LM High Brightness - ETL and Energy Star Certified. Their list did not include this switch but I took a chance. It works flawlessly. Maybe it should be added. Looks great, works great. That's all that needs to be said.

Works as it should looks good.
Easy to install. I like that it could be single pole or 3 way.

Looks and works great, but watch the wiring on the spst usage
Works fine. Why FOUR stars and not five? Reason-- the engineers at Lutron have deviated from the way '3-way switches have been wired for thousands of years --well, perhaps a minor exaggeration!.As Lutron does not make a spst dimmer, one is forced to use their spdt (one size fits all) design. The minor irritation occurs when you want to use this dimmer switch in a spst situation.Note: if you are like me and want to adjust the dimmer control so that up is brighter and down is less bright you will want both wires to be connected on the right side - like the picture. . Lutron's new design no longer wires in this manner. Yes Lutron, we are on to you.The common (input or output screw feed) is easily found by it color differentiation. However, the device still has 2 screws remaining for the runner/s (also referred to as switched legs). So can you guess which one to use? Unlike traditional wiring for 3-way switches, when wiring them to function as spst switches you connect both wires on the same side. But in a Lutron world, you need to connect the output to the screw on the opposite side, NOT the screw on the same side as the input. What weren't they thinking. Sorry to be so wordy, but some readers would understandthe concept if I did not go into detail. It's just not all about you----well maybe it is!

Much Better, But More Expensive, Than The Leviton Dimmer
I installed four recessed can lights and selected the Commercial Electric T66 LED High Ceiling trim kit. 6 in. White Recessed LED High Ceiling Trim .To control the light, I first selected the Leviton 6674-P0T SureSlide Universal 150-Watt LED and CFL/600-Watt Incandescent Dimmer, Light Almond .After installation, I felt that the Leviton did not allow the lamp to go to maximum brightness, nor dim to minimum. I could live with that. The real disappointment of the Leviton was the horizontal on/off rocker switch. Every other switch in the house was a Decora style and I didn't like having to feel around the switch in the dark for the small rocker. Yes, it was one third the price, but performance has its value. So I ordered this Lutron, which I had already employed successfully as a replacement in a 4-way configuration (three switches controlling the same lights) for the patio lights.I needed Light Almond color. This dimmer comes in about every color imaginable.I like the discreet side-slider dimmer level control and the standard, large Decora switch paddle. Its dimmer capability is almost invisible. You can turn it on or off with your elbow and I know exactly where it is when entering the room in the dark. See the pictures for comparison. The lights go to full brightness and dim adequately. Simple instructions are included on how to calibrate the dimmer based on the light/load it is seeing so the lights 1) will come on and 2) not flicker when at minimum brightness.Simply a better dimmer. Very pleased.

I use these throughout my home. Love them!
I have standardized on the Lutron Diva dimmer switches. The new model handles old style bulbs as well as LED's. I've had a few rooms that did not have dimmers... so I purchased this one. You'll appreciate their sleek look and solid function. I've had some for 20 years... and they are still very reliable.

No flickering even when the water heaters on
We have an on demand water heater and when it kicks on it causes some of our LED bulbs to flicker. You can manage not paying attention to it in some locations but this is installed in a half bath. When you use hot water in the sink the lights would flicker. The old switch was supposed to be LED compatible but the water heater caused noise on the power line and the dimmer switch couldn’t handle it. This switch solved the problem. I have it paired with a Cooper SMD6XWH LED light and my on demand water heater is a ECO Smart ECO27. Hope this helps someone else with a similar issue.
