We needed a new vacuum for our golden retriever puppy and after looking at a lot of choices, I decided on this one. I am so utterly tired of cordless items because the batteries never last long or perform well. So, I went with this Shark model that has a cord. I was not disappointed! This unit really picks up the dirt and small puppy hair (soon to be mounds of adult golden retriever hair!). One pass up and back and floors and carpets are spotless. I really like the detachable feature of the unit and it is not nearly as heavy as it looks from the picture. The Shark is very maneuverable around tight corners and it's easy to get under tables and sofas. I think that for most people, the dirt collection bin is more than sufficient, although I can see I'll need to empty it more often than most due to the dog hair. But hey, it's just so easy. The only thing that might have been designed better is allowing the vacuum cord to be detached from the unit when emptying the bin since the waste bin is likely to be in another room. But that is very minor. The vacuum appears to be quite durable and functions well throughout the house and in my car. I rate this as a superior 5-star buy and well worth the value. It didn't hurt that it was on sale, too. And to be clear, I am a paying customer giving an honest and personal review. I've never found anyone willing to give me anything for free! :-) I recommend this as a very good cord vacuum choice and I'm glad I bought it.

Bottom line: 10/10 recommend, great fit pretty hair on floors, furniture, even curtains.This is the 2nd one of these I've owned, and I couldn't be happier with it, great quality. The first one is still going but was losing suction power after years of use. I have mainly wood/vinyl flooring + pet hair from 2 cats who shed so much, IDK how they're not bald. This does amazing for the cat hair tumbleweeds blowing around in the corners. It's slim enough to slide under the furniture all the way to the walls. Suction is strong enough to suck up fur balls a few inches away. It picks up all the little crumbs, dirt and dust everywhere.Rugs/Carpet: It does a decent job on the few rugs but they're very low, so I can't say much for higher carpet. Easy assembly, no major work there. Great value for the price.This review is asking for charging speed -- this is NOT battery powered/rechargeable so not sure what's up with that.

I’m about to hit the seven year mark of owning this vacuum. I wanted something lightweight that had all of the pieces connected to the main unit so I didn’t have to go searching for them and this one fit the bill. I have a long-haired dog and a long-haired cat and I am constantly vacuuming as you can imagine. It is still working exceptionally well and I’m hoping that it lasts several more years. The way electronics and appliances are made these days- the fact that it’s lasted more than two years speaks to the quality.I am purchasing a second one as the cordless vacuum, I keep in my kitchen is about to die. Even though this one has a cord, you should know that the cord is exceptionally long. As I said, I like the fact that all of the pieces are on the single unit and it’s easy to detach to get to the long hose or to detach to make it a Dustbuster.I would highly recommend this. It picks up dirt and dog hair on wood floors, tile floors, as well as carpet. It is easy to clean and easy to dump the contents.As others have mentioned, it is slightly top heavy however you get used to it momentarily and it has not been an issue for me over all of these years.

The ad copy states that it is a light cleaner, but in reality, 9 pounds is not really that light. It does get heavy, and that happens pretty quickly. The unit is noisy, and the hot air blows right at you when you are vacuuming. I also wish the cord were a bit longer so I could move from room to room. I got a corded this time because the electric ones lose power so quickly, but this one is also a bit cumbersome because I have to plug and unplug moving from room to room due to the length of the cord. Still, it is Shark, and the suction is very good, and the cleaning capability is strong. So I did deduct one star, but I can still recommend the product if you do not mind the few issues above.

This is my go to for any vacuuming! Comes with theee different attachments. Lightweight and easy to use with two power switches: one for hardwood floors where the floor brush does not spin and the other for carpets. I really like the dusting attachment; my favorite attachment. Shark has great quality and easy to clean out.I take the long wand out and attach the floor brush right to the hand unit to vacuum my mattress pads before I put on new sheets. You would surprised and astonished at what comes up off your mattress pad!! Leaves great vacuum lines on the carpet, and the upholstery brush helps pick up lint or pet hair on my couch.

I purchased this vacuum because of it being a shark, their reliability, and warranty. I used this vacuum several times. I never realized how horrible my previous one was, and this vacuum sucked up so much extra dog hair and dust that was in my house. I tried to clean it out after each use so it stays nice. I noticed it said clean filter one time a month, I used it a couple more times and it picked up a bunch more dog hair and dust up. All of a sudden the suction slowed , I got worried that something was wrong with the vacuum , was bummed because glides so easy, read inside that suction will slow if clogged checked everything unclogged it, still slow suction , I figured I've only used this 5 times could it be the filter ? The filter was so dirty , I cleaned it and let it dry, the vacuum works amazing , so amazing. I am so thrilled with this vacuum that I had to come and write this review. It glides super easy , picks up mass amounts of dust, dander, and pet hair. I couldn't be happier 😄
