Initial impressions - Worth the money
Just received today, so I will update my review if my assessment changes. Purchased for Toshiba Chromebook 2 (CB35-B3340). Fits perfectly. Comes in two pieces (top and bottom), and both snapped right on without any problem. The top piece has six connection points that wrap around the slight bezel on the screen panel, and the bottom piece has four connection points that wrap around the keyboard panel. When the chromebook is closed, the two shell pieces do not come in contact with each other. However, they come close enough that if dropped on a corner, only the shell would hit the ground. It seems to fit tightly and securely, and it does not appear that it will easily fall off (though I am able to easily remove the shell pieces by flexing the connection points). As advertised, no ports are covered. Also, I can open the chromebook screen panel all the way, and the top piece does not rub against the bottom piece (other reviews from Macbook users complained of this). There are two built-in anti-slip silicone pads on the bottom shell piece (I was expecting four). It does slide around a bit easier than I would like when pushed, although it stays put when using the chromebook (even on a slick polished wood table). There are no anti-slip pads on the two "foldable feet." There should be, but I won't dock a star, since it doesn't seem to slide around when using the chromebook. The foldable feet are better than expected. They lift the back of the chromebook almost an inch and half when used. This is higher than I expected, but pleasantly so. I don't have a protractor, but it makes a good/comfortable angle for typing. I am used to my desktop's wireless keyboard that has the same feature, but lifts the rear only about a half an inch. The black color is slightly transparent, but not enough to see the computer's "Toshiba" or "chromebook" logos through it from any distance. The shell itself has no visible logos. One minor complaint is the finish on the shell panels. It is advertised as "matte" on the top panel, and perhaps it is slightly matte. But it's still slick. Slicker than the chromebook itself, which has a rough/bumpy surface which I like. I think it would be slightly easier to drop the chromebook with the shell on it. Again, not enough of an issue to take a star away, at least not at this point. Finally, the price. While 20 dollars for some molded plastic is a bit steep, I am VERY happy I found this product and saved over 30 dollars compared to the Toshiba shell. My chromebook came with a 25 percent off coupon for Toshiba's shell, and with shipping it was still over 50 dollars. I almost bought the Toshiba shell, simply because there was no other options available. Very glad I waited.

Wish I would have bought this a year ago!!!! Would have saved me a lot of $$$!
Literally JUST received it and popped it on, but so far so good! Snaps on like a breeze and feels sturdy enough without adding too much extra bulk. I actually considered buying this right after buying my Toshiba Chromebook 2 last year, but being the frugal college kid I am, I decided there was no reason to buy it since I already had the GMYLE leather "book" case (a great & cute case btw despite not being made for this laptop). Boy, do I regret that decision now.. After cracking the screen when opening it (not the laptop's fault, I simply had gotten "too comfortable" with it) and having to shell out money for a replacement, I *immediately* returned to Amazon to buy this. As I am sure you are aware by now--otherwise you probably wouldn't here--the top screen portion of the CB35 models are quite thin and not being gentle when opening may very well lead to a damaged screen. Again, I don't fault Toshiba for this and the machine is wonderful: that's just the sacrifice that must be made when you want a slim, lightweight laptop. I can already tell that this hard shell adds a good amount of extra support and point pressure is greatly reduced. My only complaint is that the bottom potion of the case doesn't seem to fit as snug to as the portion that wraps around the screen. This doesn't bother me too much as bottom isn't what I was most concerned with reinforcing and it hasn't seemed to slip off or anything. Conclusion: Don't make the same mistake I did and learn the hard way. Spending $20 now is far better than shelling out $80-150 for a brand new screen down the road.Pros:-Adds much needed support to the thin screen on CB35 models-Considerably durable given the weight-Snaps on in flash-The clear version is hardly noticeable and doesn't detract from the beautiful exterior nor does it look "cheap"Cons:-Though it hasn't come off, the bottom portion seems to not fit as tightly as the top (again, this could just be the one I was sent and I am not too bothered by this)-**This could be a pro or a con, depending on your taste, but I personally don't like the "feet" on the bottom of the hard shell. You don't have to use them and they stay in place, but I would have preferred two additional rubber grips instead (like the ones closer to the front). Again, hardly a big deal and definitely not a reason to avoid buying it.WILL UPDATE LATER IF ANYTHING CHANGES!

Fits perfectly, looks sharp, protects from minor bumps and scrapes
Does exactly what it's supposed to. I like to sit on the couch or in the comfy chair in the living room with my Chromebook, but I was very nervous about doing it when my kids are being active. If you're looking at this product, you know that the Toshiba Chromebook 2, while a great machine in many respects, does not have the most robust construction, particularly the screen portion. So I was afraid that one hit from an over-excited child would be the end of my lovely display. Installing this case gives me some peace of mind and gives the screen some much-needed rigidity for opening/closing. The clips on this case look like they would be inadequate, but the entire case fits the Chromebook like a glove, so it stays on very securely. All ports are easily accessible. To be fair, I have not impact-tested this, nor is that something I will intentionally do. I do not think that it would protect from a significant fall onto a hard surface, but for the usual sort of bumps that you get from normal use, it should do the job nicely. For me, it's worth it from the extra rigidity that it gives the Chromebook. The one minor negative point is that it adds enough weight to the screen that the hinge isn't quite so secure. It's only really noticeable when I'm typing on my lap, at which point the screen wiggles a little more than I'd like, although it does not actually sag. This is a very minor issue, and is really more of a gripe with the Chromebook than the case. It's cheap insurance, and it makes the Chromebook look extra sharp. Also gives you a smoother surface on the back of the display (it's got a slight matte texture, but much smoother than the diamond texture on the Chromebook) for putting stickers on, if that's your thing.
