Easy to connect. Accurate.
This works very well and stays attached to the chest without sliding. The read out is steady without the fluctuations seen with some chest belts. I use it with my Concept 2 rowing machine. Recommended.

Garmin sent me an upgrade for free after it prematurely failed.
It did fail after around 16 months but from heavy use, I contacted Garmin support and they offered me a free replacement.

Works well with Fenix 5 watch.
Works as intended. A bit faffy to get it connected, had to look online for instructions. I tried to connect this first to my Garmin Connect app, the device isn't listed. Managed to force the app to search for the monitor, it saw it but still threw up errors when trying to connect. My conclusion is it just isn't compatible which is bizarre. For me it was no issue, as I really bought this monitor to pair up with my Fenix 5 watch. I'm still learning my way around the watch, so a quick google found me some instructions on how to connect the two, a few simple steps later and I was good to go. Its a budget monitor so expect budget. There's no LED's or anything whatsoever to show if it's on or off. The monitor only transmits Bluetooth when a heart beat is detected or at least that seems to be the case, worthwhile knowing for those struggling to connect to the device. In summary, I got this for £40 in used - like new condition, it works perfectly fine for me, after a bit of faffing. Seems accurate enough, not too different from the watch's own reading when not connected, 4 stars overall due to the lack of app connectivity/compatibility as well as the slight hassle setting the device up first time. I wouldn't pay full price on this monitor (£50-£60) as a little bit more will get you a better Garmin HR monitor, but worth it if you can find it for 40 or less.

Great gift for the runner in your life!
Gave this to my husband and he uses it almost daily for his runs. He loves being able to track his heart rate and stats. Easy to wash the sweat off and dries quickly. Comfortable to wear.

Unreliable inconsistent data
This is my first Garmin HR monitor but I have used other brands and been very happy wit them with no issues. I have paired this with my Fenix 6 Pro and I get crazy data from it. Typically, after 15 minutes or so of running the recorded heart rate falls away to a resting beat even though I can feel my pulse manually is running at 170-180. I have tried Garmin support but they are just hell-bent on proving that I am doing something wrong rather than accept that I need a refund for a faulty product.Update. Garmin finally sent me a free replacement, god bless 'em but I have exactly the same issue as the original one so clearly there is either something incorrect about the way that I am using it or there has been a bad batch. In the end I lost patience and purchased a much cheaper Powr Labs product which is very similar but so far it has performed excellently - quick to pair, sensible, credible heart rate data, and can be used for the Garmin HRV functionality which I am a big believer in.

Works very well
Took a bit of fiddling to get it connected to my android but once the connection was established the first time, it now works like a charm. Also, my very old Android phone is rather temperamental with Bluetooth devices now, but this heart rate monitor still manages to work well. As an example, I use Strava for my multi hour mountain trips. During which, I may pause recording. If later in when I restart it I find the connection was lost (almost certainly issue on my phone side), it is a matter of switching Bluetooth off and on on my phone and that's it. My previous HR monitor wasn't as quick in re-establishing connection.Recommended.

Faulty after a years use
After using for just over a year, it’s began to be inaccurate and gets stuck at higher heart rates and won’t come down until I turn it off on my watch and back on. Shame as it was initially very good!
