These dual color lights are incredibly bright. I paired them with m5 controllers and mounted them in appropriate sized aluminum channel. Mounted upper and lower, the lighting in my kitchen is gorgeous. I like being able to adjust the color to match the bulbs in the room, or provide the more vivid cool light for daytime projects. I could light up the whole kitchen with these alone, they are so bright. The controller allows for color and brightness tuning.To install, I ran 18 ga wire and soldered the lighting setup. This was no small task. It took almost a day to set everything up. It was not the most convenient install, I wish it had quick connects. But I couldn’t find any other options to get this level of color adjustable brightness. They’re just incredible. Worth the time and effort, I think my install is top notch.The lights get hot in the reel, but once installed in the aluminum channel, I do not find they get much more than warm at full power. I did not have any problems with adhesive. I wouldn’t apply any of these types of products directly to the wood. Cabinets (even new) are dusty by nature. The channel offers cooling and a better surface for adhesion. I even have lenses covering the lowers to avoid showing the LED dots. It diffuses the light better.Overall, the install was not simple due to the need for solder, but you can’t match the light output anywhere near this cost. I was looking at almost 10x the price in parts. Glad I spent the time.

I just installed three packs of these around my kitchen. The lights are bright and just what I was seeking. I paired these with four Mi Light 2.4G RF 4-Zone Remote Control Wireless LED WW/CW Strip Controllers and a Milight Dual White WW/CW Remote control. Now I can turn certain areas of cabinets on/off or have the working zone brighter than the rest. I can have bright white light for working and later warm light for eating. These LED lights exceed expectations. The tape on the backside is quality 3M tape - nice surprise.There are a few installation points that need to be noted.1) These need to be soldered. There are no clip on contacts available for these from any manufacturer. If you cannot solder with a fine point, go elsewhere. If you can (it's not that difficult), they work great. The solderable contacts are nicely tinned.2) The solderable contacts are at about 10 cm spacing. The solderable contact points are conductive on the backside of the strip as well as the face. I read in another review that the customer could not install these inside aluminum tracks as they short out. I solved this by cutting 12 mm squares of quality electrical tape and placing them on the track at the positions of the contacts (after soldering on leads) .... problem solved.3) Some of the cuttable locations are not actually cuttable. Each cuttable location has three pair of contacts (one CW, one WW, and one +) Whenever the manufacturer spliced the strip, he overlapped the two sets of soldering points. If you cut the strip at this point (as I did until I learned better) you will destroy a 10 cm section of strip as it will no longer have soldering points. Splicing is then necessary. Look for pairs of contacts first, cut later. This may mean laying out the strip and planning your cuts.4) Installation instructions are not included. Size the transformers carefully (calculate your wattage and order appropriately sized 24 Volt transformers (note: not 12 Volt).Would I buy these again. As for now ... a definite YES.

I have purchased these before and they were fine. This batch, October 2018, the LEDs get EXTREMELY hot when driving both the cold and warm color LEDs, even in very short sections of 19 inches. They get hot when testing in open air, and when mounted to a stainless steel shelf, the shelf is not a good enough heat sink to dissipate the heat. It is literally hot enough to burn. That means the copper traces are much too small or the resistors are not sized appropriately, or both. These are dangerous and I cannot recommend.

Very bright indeed. However, the 3000k color temperature is still too cool for my application, I need to find 2700k LEDs.

All leds fully operational on receipt. Being used under kitchen counters. Very bright (when turned fully up) on any combination of color, although I can't find any reference to lux or lumen, so my opinion is just that. (As the manufacturer points out several times, don't illuminate the strip for any great length of time while still on the roll. The concentration produces possibly damaging heat.) Easy to cut and solder and adhesive back holds very well (cleaned target surface with alcohol before install). With the controller I'm using, each set of warm and cool can be varied from one (not both) completely off through any combination of the two, and I find that adding some cool white to mostly warm prevents the clinical look most feel an all-cool white color produces. We chose single strip bi-colored for just that reason - whatever your taste, this has it covered.I'll follow up later if there's a change in performance.

Excellent quality light. Color is accurate and pleasant for cool or warm white. Mix to get a perfect balance. Double the price of cheap led strip, but MORE than double the luminosity! That is my favorite part. Usually you have to pay much more to get only small improvement.Suggestion to manufacturer: This product would be even better if it had 2/1 ratio cool to warm LEDs. So, 2 cool led and then only 1 warm led. Maybe eve 3/1. Right now it is 1/1: 50% cool / 50% warm. Cool is more important for natural lighing. Also, when people want warm white, they want it to be dim (not bright). But when people want cool white, like for working or in a studio, they want it to be as bright as possible. So. I make custom lamps which use 3 strips of these. I only enable "warm white" on one. But, all 3 have "cool white" enabled. So, when mixed 3/1 cool/warm it comes out to a very natural color light.
