Stylish update
I had the old pleated lampshade and wanted to keep the lamps because they are great quality. I replaced the shade and it completely transformed the lamp.

I really like my lampshades. They are perfect. They cover the lightbulb. They look great for this era of lamp, which is an English dog lamp. They were just what I was looking for.

Lampshades are a dark ivory in natural light and can be either light or dark ivory at night depending on whether you use soft white bulbs or daylight bulbs. Very high quality appearance.Very happy with Royal Designs, who sent me a second lampshade when Amazon had mispicked the item and only sent me one by mistake.

What a difference a lamp shade can make!
Bought a lamp from a different on line vendor, Did not look anything like on line. Lamp should have been blue with flowers on it, but instead came teal with what looked like gold "splatter" thrown at it with a dark brown shade that allowed NO LIGHT to penetrate. Would have cost a lot to return and you never know with an independent seller if the return will even work. Should have known better, but alas. So I bought this very cream colored lamp shade. What a transformation. So much better and lamp shade allows such great illumination. This I can live with.

Better than expected
Really happy with these lamp shades. A little pricey, but excellent quality. When on, the light is not yellow, like many shades. The shade is a cream colour. Only thing that would make it better would be more white in colour, but they still work. Very true to the photo in ad.
