i have owned a carafe like this for many years. i was very sad when i dropped it and it broke. i ordered a different well-reviewed carafe (cresimo), and i was utterly disappointed. it simply did not keep coffee hot. so i scrolled and scrolled through amazon listings looking for a carafe like my old one. AHA, i finally found it. it is great! i actually tested cresimo against the SERVICE IDEAS TOUCH CARAFE. I poured boiling hot water into each of the carafes in the evening. the following day i checked the temperature of the water in each of the pots. cresimo - 114 degrees. SERVICE IDEAS TOUCH CARAFE - 148 degrees. for heat retention, SERVICE IDEAS TOUCH CARAFE is a clear winner!

I have a pot like this for 40 years and finally the top broke. I had to take the top off to pour. I took a picture and sent it to Amazon and this is the pot that came back. 40 years later it is the same price. I don’t know if my original is this brand. I can pour coffee in the morning and drink it piping hot at 8 at night. If there is any left in the morning I only have to heat it in the microwave for a minute. This is the best coffee carafe EVER!!

I had this for a couple months. IMO it was a 3 star in terms of heat retention. The outside is a flimsy stainless steel wrap. I was simply moving it from counter to counter, when I bumped the bottom lightly on the counter. The glass shattered inside.I forget what I paid, but if more than $18, keep looking.

I have owned same Carafe for 20 years and the top lever finally broke. I found this same Carafe on Amazon and ordered it. The first unit did not keep coffee hot, due to a defective glass liner, not holding heat, but transferring to outside of carafe.. I ordered a replacement, marked the returned unit as defective liner, so they would not put back in stock and returned. The second unit is great, holding hot coffee 8 to 10 hours. I recommend this Carafe

The carafe did not keep the coffee hot and a piece fell out of the product after one use.

This carafe is the best I've had. I've tried many over the years, and this is my favorite. Keeps coffee hot the longest, easy to clean, no dripping when pouring, no leaking, and no hidden moisture areas. It's #1! Highly recommend.

What I like about it is: Glass Lined Carafe. Keeps liquids hot for hours.The least thing (which started around the middle of January 2018 is: The little flapwhich is located at the end of the pouring spout doesn't close all the way and all liquids (coffee ,etc.)drips on the counter, table or wherever you are when refilling the persons drink. I need to carry a piece ofpaper towel to wipe up the drip(s)I should have returned it. However did not want the hassle of returning it.
