I like this Notary Journal because it is a notebook format and size. The entries are easy and spread out in landscape mode as my former journal was. The cover is flexible and easy to store in my desk or carry with me.

Great for documentation

This log book has everything you need and nothing you don't. No overpriced leather binding or extraneous design on the cover. The most important feature is the spiral binding... ALL log books should be spiral bound! Lays flat on the desk and stays open on one page at a time to keep other entries out of view of the signer. I attach a piece of thin card stock from another notebook with a binder clip to hide entries on the page in use. The ONLY problem is, ironically, the spiral binding... the one used by this manufacturer is not a continuous coil but has a gap where it is fitted through the page holes. The result is that when you get to the last few pages they start falling out! If they changed to a simple spiral like a 5 star notebook it would be perfect.

Haven't finished using my old book yet, but I SO look forward to using this! meets all the requirements for a California notary! Seems like it will hold as many entries as my present book, but lighter in my bag! My only issue is the title! Why can't it JUST say "Notary Journal" who needs the classic!? I love it so much I wen to the mfgr's site to see if it would always be around and it was there that I discovered the bigger size! I WISH WISH WISH I had known about the one (by bigger I mean more pages) I'd have gone for it immediately! When I was a kid my Grandma was a Beautician and she kept appointment books similar to these with little notes about each clients treatments and they have become heirlooms of a sort in our family. I hope these might do the same thing for my family about me!
