Got this for my classroom because it’s portable and easy to put away. I can give it to students as a reward when they earned some free time and the pieces are magnetic so less chance of running away. Great functionality for what I need because I need it to be able to pack away easily and be stored without hassle. I think it’s a great value for that. Could also be a great gift especially for kids who travel or chess lovers that need portability. Nice design and looks sleek. Definitely recommend this set.

Got this for my daughter as she started learning, playing and enjoying it. This chess board looks nice, and the magnets are good but not too strong, the hardware like the clasps all feel like good quality. We got the set opened it and were pleased with the quality.Very affordable with a high quality feel to the board and all pieces, nice finish and polish. Easy to remove and place back all the pieces from their storage and doesn't fall easily from it. Wooden box is smooth and lightweight, easy to carry.But at this price point i was expecting a holding bag to carry this in it, but didn't got any inside the packaging. But overall I like the chess board.

Bought this set to teach my 7 year old son how to play. I have a different chess set I play with but it’s antique and I’d like to preserve it so I got this one as a secondary. Good size, quality chess pieces with nice weight to them. Functional case that doubles as storage and chess board. Easy to use and put away, functional design. Great fun for all the ages.

Bought this to give it as a gift to a 6yr old on his bday.This set is very well made, looks good too, especially horse pieces are cute.Scuff marks are very tiny and almost not noticeable. Definitely worth it.The pieces are not so heavy and should be great even with kids handling, playing with them.The magnetic bases help move the board from one place to other without losing the positions.Overall its a great gift option!!

Great Chess Board Set. Taught my niece how to play chess on this board. I love how it looks and how it keeps all the pieces organized and together. The inside has a foam cutout for the pieces to return to. There are a couple extra pieces of king and queen for promoting a pawn. There’s a replacement order card for missing, damaged or lost pieces. It included an instruction manual for playing chess: how the chess pieces moves, discover special rules of chess, study basic chess strategies, and how to place the chess pieces on the board.We’ve been playing chess it for while. The magnets in the bottom of the pieces is a must so that the pieces stays on the board. Convenient when we had to move the board. The wooden chess board has 2 gold latches to keep the box closed. The wooden chess kit come in a sturdy cardboard and makes it easy to store the chess kit in. This is a great wooden chess board kit and will last for a very long time. It will provide many wonderful chess game memories. I highly recommend and will probably buy another set as a gift.
