Physics for Scientists and Engineers with Modern Physics

The description of the book matched exactly to what I received. The book was clean, no writing in the book or on the sides. It came before the time expected and I liked how they shipped via FedEx so I was able to track when it might arrive. It came shipped in a brown paper sleeve type packaging, but surprisingly it was very sturdy even though it wasn't big like a box. I would definitely purchase a used book from them again.

Not sure if I just got lucky or if this is common of this particular seller, but the book I received is in perfect condition when it was listed as “Used-Good”. Very impressed.As for the book itself.. it’s definitely a calculus based physics textbook. Haha

The book covers a lot of material with worked examples. Very nice. The endpapers are inexplicably printed upside-down. The paper is as thin as newspaper. Many pages are stuck together with bits of glue on the edges. Nothing is too difficult to live with, but at this price I would expect top-notch construction, but it has the feel of one of those gray-market foreign products. Should be much better.

I hope your teacher uses this book. It's truly EASY to read. It's as easy as watching a TED talk or YouTube video. It feels like someone is talking to you in person. I've struggled with physics in some ways, and I haven't FULLY completed this textbook yet, but it's quite welcoming. Not like my calculus book. Definitely one of the best physics texts out there. Read, study, get an "A" :)

I actually read the entire text. Very readable, equations and problems are easy to understand, and seems to be a great reference that will go on my bookshelf.

Thought I needed this book, ended up being a copy of what i already have. I tried canceling the order before it shipped but the request was denied so now, I need to go through the process of getting my $88 back. book itself is not made well, for a college level textbook it has surprisingly little info. If you need this book for a class, go to your school's bookstore because you'll most likely need the Cengage code/material as well, and this doesn't come with that. If you don't need this book don't get it period, it's not worth its weight in paper. The only thing this book contains is a few example problems per topic and a bunch of questions with an occasional answer, doesn't show you how to solve the problem.
