It works!
The card appears sturdy and well made. Nice snug fit. Installed easily but slightly hard to remove. No matter because I never intended to remove it. I needed extra USB ports for my laptop and this card accomplished that. Worth buying.

good product
Not as fast as advertised, but so much better than USB 2

Card gets very hot and then undetectable by computer
I installed the card and it instantly was detected as a USB 3.0 device with no driver install needed. Everything worked great for 5 minutes and then the card got very hot and then was no longer detected by the computer.I tested another card in the same laptop port and it worked. Reinstalled this card multiple times and was never detected by the computer.

Nice upgrade...
Spruced up an old laptop which now allows me to have multi monitor with a display link. Setup as an AIO and this was the missing link to get HDMI support via a display link on an old XPS M1210. Mounted to the back of the tv and changed setting so it stays on with the lid closed.

works up to a point
well, this/these cards do work and increase the speed making copying of large backups so much faster but they do get hot fast if left plugged in and especially if you have two drives connected to it for backing up and as soon as they do, they stop working and will drop the connection. that could also damage the drive files. if you get one, don't leave it plugged in and connect it only during use and remove it and let it cool off. don't lose the driver mini cd.

I get an "over power" error when I hook up my USB ethernet
When I connect my USB ethernet dongle to the regular USB port, it works fine. When I connect it to one of these ports, I get an error indicating the device is drawing too much power. I don't think the ethernet dongle is drawing too much power. I suspect there might be something wrong with the adapter.I plugged the power connection between the adapter and one of my high power USB ports and had the same problem.
