The Animal Wisdom Tarot: An inspirational guide to using tarot cards and their meanings

This tarot deck is amazing. The artwork is truly spectacular; the colors are rich and vibrant and the artwork is truly exceptional. As soon as I saw the images online, I knew I had to have this deck in my collection. The art is a perfect mix of beautiful artistry... and charming, likeable animals. Cute animals are easy to find. Beautiful renderings are easy to find. This deck resides in a rare and special area where the two concepts meet. The animals are cute, but rendered with a divine beauty that gives them the respect they deserve. I can't say enough about how gorgeous this artwork is.The cards themselves are also gorgeous. Shiny and glossy, but not overly so. The cards slide against each other wonderfully. There's no sticking or clumping with this deck. The stock is just the right size - not too thick/stiff, not too thin/soft. The ends of the cards feel the tiniest bit "rougher" than some other decks, but it's a very small bit and not enough to be considered an actual complaint. The book included with the deck is the BEST I have ever seen packaged with a tarot deck. It contains a page devoted to each card - with a full color picture of the card, along with the traditional tarot associations (card name, element, suit, etc), keywords, a paragraph about the animal on the card and why it was chosen, a paragraph about the card's meaning and what message it's giving to you, and some key phrases that cut to the chase and give you the cards direct message to you. The book's pages are mildly glossy and the book is well bound with a nice, solid cover. The box is also nice. A matte cardboard with a lid on the side, as opposed to the top. It's solid and sturdy and I see no sign of cheapness or easily-broken parts. All together, I would say the quality of this set is higher than some sets I've seen selling for nearly twice as much. Amazing value here!As for the insightfulness of the cards, this is largely a personal and subjective matter. A deck that might be amazingly intuitive and insightful for one person might not be for another. However, I will say that I made an immediate connection with this deck and it immediately started giving me profoundly personal and intense readings. My connection to this deck has been much deeper and more easily made than it is with nearly any other deck I own.Some of the symbolism and meanings in the cards are slightly different than the standard Rider-Waite symbols/interpretations. This deck is softer and focuses more on the positive - but not in a whitewashy sort of way. Beginners to tarot may find themselves easily confused here, given the name changes for suits/courts/majors (NOTHING is left with the traditional name), but those who are familiar with oracle cards and lack knowledge of the tarot will find this a very "oracular" kind of tarot deck that will feel more comfortable than most other tarots. I'd actually say that this deck seems like the perfect melding of an oracle and a tarot. It manages to pair the charms and benefits of both mediums into one concise deck. In short, a beginning tarot student might want to wait and delve into this deck when they're a bit more advanced, but an oracle user who has been afraid to venture into tarot at all might find this deck to be a gentle introduction.I've gone on far too long about this deck, I realize, but it is truly amazing. I am impressed with the artistry of the cards, the writing of the book and the quality of the finished product. Deserves 10 stars. Highly recommended.

This is a beautiful deck. The cards are not as big as some oracle cards and shuffles the easiest out of all my decks no matter how I shuffle them. I've only had the deck 5 days and already I feel it's attuned to me. The cards are on the thin side, so be cautious of bending. I've bent one already but was able to correct it as the box has a snug fit on the cards (if you can keep the cardboard insert intact). The guidebook is full color with great insight, although I do like to refer to the more traditional meanings as well, especially for reversals. The book mentions how it's helpful to use reversals but has no meanings for them like other guidebooks do. I thought this deck was too ambitious for a first tarot deck, but it's not. The guidebook also gives the traditional card names for reference.

Although the deck is very nice, illustrations are awesome. Box looks fairly good, the box it came in was not seal-wrapped, and the cards were out of order, and all over inside the box. Book was upside down. You can tell this is a used deck. Not happy to find this out!!!!

I do daily YouTube readings and pick different tarot decks or oracle decks every day. Today two different people mentioned to me about this deck. I personally love this deck. It has a gentle vibe and if you are really into animals and nature wisdom, then this deck is for you. Just based on a reading I did with this deck along with the Oracle of the Shapeshifters, someone bought the deck for herself and then turned around and bought one for her friend. It is that amazing. If you have been afraid to delve into tarot, this deck would be great for you. The book really explains things in detail better than any deck I've ever owned. The suits have been changed up from normal due to the natura/animal theme,but once you figure out which suit is cups, swords, pentacles, etc. you will be well on your way to divining something for yourself.

Very delicate animal deck that gives very accurate readings.

Absolutely love this deck. Great imagery, lovely to work with, happy querents too. If you love animals you'll love these cards. Accompanying book is good read too. Although I don't use the book to read cars with. Just nice to see how the maker of these cards view the animals inclosed.
