Hard to beat for the price and quality
I ordered this for my BMW R NineT Pure. Fitment was nice, and for the price, you really can't beat it. It provides a small storage space, and gives a cool Cafe Racer look to the bike. My bike is Catalano grey, but this piece comes in black, so my next step is to find color wrap to make this Cowl piece match the tank.

Very cheap, but no hardware or documentation
The seat hump seems to be fair quality. However, it is not ready to install out of the box. There is no documentation or hardware to help guide the process. The hump fixes to the bike with the same bolt, the stock pillion seat uses, but the hump has nothing for that screw to thread into. 1,000% infuriating for a "bolt on" cosmetic part. I do not recommend any one else buy this.

No emblem and no rubber piece that holds the pocket.
Product is good but it did not come with bmw emblem and rubber that holds the pocket whatsoever. I would still like to have them...

Eh, seems fine.
So, it's a plastic $70 cowl. No instructions. The piece that holds the back portion on is a bit janky - as in others pictures, basically a metal clip, with one side being a molded threaded nut (which the pinion seat screw - screws into), then the plastic tab (with hole for the screw) attached to the cowl sandwiched between the other part of the clip. Not sure if one is supposed to glue the clip to the plastic on the cowl maybe? Would be tricky with lack of surface area on the metal clip. Might make re-attachment trickier as well (not that it isn't already). May go to hardware store with clip and see if I can get a couple of extra's. Taking cowl off, the clip just slides off the plastic piece. It'll be pretty prone to get lost I imagine. OH! Might try a tiny shim of some kind to get it to stay on? Anyhooo...BUT - it seems like it should hold pretty good. Got the silver. Finish looks great. VERY little discernible difference between the tank aluminum color & the plastic cowl. Impressive match really. (course, the illusion falls apart upon touch or really close examination)Front of the cowl is held under the seat by a couple of plastic tabs w/rubber grommets. Again, seems fairly secure.Of note- have an aftermarket Mustang seat - must be a tad beefier than the stock, as it's not possible to get in the cowl compartment without removing said cowl & seat at the same time. Upon install, actually have to lift Mustang seat a bit, put cowl tabs under seat, then lower both at the same time (snapping the seat in place to secure / kind of jamb them together). So, it's fine I guess. Time will tell. Probably should've ponied up for the genuine article. Not sure how well that one secures, but it's gotta be a little more quality than this?Oh, & came with some odd logo'd roundel. Never seen it. But not the BMW one. Wasn't attached though, so no prob adding (yes, they're expensive too) an official one. So, bonus mystery logo'd roundel to stick... somewhere?edit - after re-examining metal clip/nut - can crimp a bit and stays on plastic bit fine. Noticed a bit of shoddy finishing where rubber lip meets edge though. Noticeable up close. Maybe down to 3 stars soon.

Very poor craftsmanship!
It does not come with a BMW emblem, edges are not trimmed with precision (see pictures), there's a paint drop beneath the logo indentation (see pictures). The entire cowl is held by a very thin clip (see pictures). This could be a hazard given that the rider's saddle is dependent on the cowl's ability to stay securely in place. In my opinion, this should not be sold for more than $25.

Product is decent
Although cover feels a bit lose but the finish of the product goes decent. My order got delayed, customer service seems good and happily provided a discount after few conversations.
