OXO Good Grips 9-Inch Tongs with Silicone Heads, Black

This is my second of OXO tongs. I still use the first set, but realize that having two would be useful. These were an upgrade to the last design with the locking mechanism being metal so it’s a little bit sturdier than the first set. I find them very useful and sturdy.

Bought it as a stocking stuffer for Christmas 24. I thought it was a little high but it's our go-to tongs for everything but the heavy stuff. The silicone is holding up, it still locks and unlocks easily. For the use we give it, it was worth the price,

I have this same tong without silicone and am very happy to have this for my non-stick skillets. It is sturdy and easy to use and believe it will last for many years to come.

I have 3 pairs do different sizes. Work great inside and out in the grill. They are made well and last a long time.

Work good for heavier tasks. Not quite as nimble as I like for bacon, sausage, other small things. Well made. Good for nonstick surfaces.

I didn’t expect to form an emotional bond with kitchen tongs, but here we are.The OXO Good Grips 9-Inch Tongs with Silicone Heads are the kind of overachievers that make all your other utensils feel insecure. They grip like a Victorian ghost clinging to unfinished business. And the silicone heads? Gentle enough to flip a crepe, strong enough to wrangle a rogue chicken thigh trying to make a break for it.The locking mechanism actually works really well. And the grip rocks. I could probably perform surgery with these. I won’t. But I could.Dishwasher safe? Of course. Heat-resistant? Obviously. Look good in your kitchen drawer? As much as anything looks good buried under 14 rubber bands and 3 wine corks you’re “definitely going to use for a DIY project.”Bottom line: These tongs slap. Not literally. But they could, if provoked (That’s _your_ job)Buy them. Or don’t.

Sturdy, functional. OXO products are always reliable.

Love the size and length of these tongs. They are my favorite tongs and work great!
