This a great cheese grater. It is very sharp so be careful but works extremely well. This is the second I have owned only due to the frame cracking. News flash! Just as with the good cheese slicer I have they are not dishwasher safe. Wash by hand only.

This is the best grater I have ever used for zesting citrus. You attach the plastic cover to the back and it catches the zest as you are grating, and there are handy tablespoon measurements on it so you know exactly how much you have. Once you have the amount you need, just hold it over your mixing bowl, remove the plastic cover, and gently brush all of the zest directly into the bowl - easy peasy!Put the plastic cover over the front of the grater when you store it in a drawer to protect the blades and to keep from rasping your hands while you are rummaging around for other tools.My only complaint is the handy plastic cover broke after several months of heavy use on the first one. It may have been a mistake to put it in the dishwasher, or it may have been me being careless while I was putting the cover on the zester, I'm not really sure. But I have not found a better zester, so I ordered another one and I am still very happy with it.

I have only used this once but it is much nicer than I expected. It is well made and heavy duty. Much easier to clean than a box-type grater. Very happy with this purchase.

We like this grater because it comes with its own "catcher." I bought the grater because I "lost" the grater/microplane we've had for years. Turns out, I must have placed it in the wrong place. So, now we have two. But the cover for this grater doubles as a small tray to catch whatever it is you're grating. So, it's better than our old grater.

Have been looking for the perfect grater/zester after hurting my fingers in traditional flat shaped graters. The angled handle is very user friendly. I also appreciate how smoothly it grates cheese, carrots, etc. It cuts the food smoothly without grabbing, a problem I’ve experienced with other graters. Highly recommend this product.
