Shun Ken Onion DM0513 Serrated 5-Inch Utility Knife

This knife is worth every penny. I bought it for my husband to complete a set of the Shun Onion knives and I have to say it was a case of saving the best for last. All of these knives are wonderfully balanced and fit very nicely into the hand. The serated knife is perfect for delicate cuts on soft foods and slices tomato into paper thin pieces with ease.

Really good quality. Knife is serrated, razor sharp, lightweight. I've never had a knife of this quality, so it's surprising what a difference it makes! Just don't cut yourself! The directions say to hold it against the side of the sink to wash it, so you don't accidentally slice your fingers.

Perfect for slicing soft skinned vegetables and fruits. I have also found this very useful for slicing small loaves of bread. The ken onion handle as always is very comfortable and with Shun's warranty and now reinstated sharpening service, Shun knives are a no brainier in my honest opinion.

Love my shun knives. Fragile Japanese steel for lightweight slicing so I have 'tipped' this knife and the pairing knife. I had my blade sharpener keep a 'dull/flat tip' so no big deal there.Really like the handling and feel of these blades.

For every chef, there comes the time when you have to slice a tomato. This is the perfect knife for that, or any other vegetable or fruit with skin. The handle is ergonomic and the blade is sharp and virtually indelible. Well worth the price.

I have several different knives from the shun ken onion set an love every one of them. The construction, attention to detail and sharpness are amazing.

We have six knives already and added this one to our collection. The knife is excellent and does its job beautifully. No complains whatsoever.

I love this knife, great ergonomics. But it is very sharp and I accidentally stabbed myself with the point while washing the knife.
