Worked well on a correctly torqued filter housing cap.
Five stars for the price and function. Used on 2014 Corolla LE (1.8 liter engine). Recently bought this car and was aware that the Toyota dealer was the last to change the oil, hence install the filter housing cap back on. Have a 2010 Sienna (3.5L takes the larger filter) and the same dealership had Popeye install that filter housing cap and substantially over torqued it. Fortunately, they didn't " over torque the Corolla's cap and this tool worked well w/o damage to tool or filter. First install tool - slightly tap tool as far as it will connect to the filter housing cap and then use a 27mm socket to loosen. I also tighten with the 27mm socket rather than chance the racket drive, pry off tool when done.

Works as promised
Wrench was a perfect fit, is well made and does the job it is supposed to do. Seems simple but there are a lot of poorly made products out there that work for a month or so then crack or break. That is not the case with this oil filter wrench. makes changing the oil filter easy and quick.

Not the strongest, but it got the job done
I have a feeling that whoever changed the oil on my wife's Corolla last did not follow the explicit instructions printed all over the oil filter box not to over-tighten the oil filter housing, and as a result, it was on there way tighter than it had any business being. In the process of taking it off, I did manage to round off the the outer hex face on the adapter tool and chowder up the 3/8" inner drive pretty well, but I'm not convinced that wasn't more a problem with how tight the housing was, since the material of the tool itself felt and looked pretty good out of the box. My best advice is to take a piece or two of printer paper and put them in-between the tool and the housing, and tap the tool on with a hammer. The paper will prevent it from slipping off and should give you enough grip with a stuck filter. In the end, the filter is changed and my wife is happy, so I'd say the tool served its purpose. For $10, even if the thing is too messed up to use again, I'd say it's definitely worth it.

Cheap and ineffective
Tool was poorly made. Rounded it out on first use, was not even able to get the filter off.
