CenterforceDF193890 Dual Friction Clutch Pressure Plate and Disc

I bought this clutch for my 1991 Jeep Wrangler because I was pulling out my transmission in order to swap out the old internal slave cylinder for a external slave cylinder.The old clutch was a little bit of a harsh ride on the vehicle so when I saw the claims for smoother engagement of the clutch and lighter pedal effort it was exactly what I was looking for to increase my comfort when driving.The packaging when it arrived to my house was heat shrink wrapped to keep everything inside the Box. The clutch itself is bolted onto a stiff cardboard backing to ensure it would not shift or scratch any of the surfaces, also, Inside the Box were multiple clutch alignment tools for different size input shaftso from different transmissions.This was my first time attempting to repair / modification of this magnitude. The job went off without a hitch. I was able to do it over the course of the weekend only requiring help in order to lift the transmission back into position.After the job was done my wife and I decided to take a trip down to Santa Clarita from the Inland Empire in Southern California and through the course of the trip we decided to take Highway 74 through the mountains. The whole time my wife commented on how well the Jeep drove, how well it rode, and how smooth everything seemed to feel.On the ride on the way back home I let my wife drive for the last 20 miles so that she could feel for herself difference in driving the jeep. My wife was skeptical about a lot of the work I had put into the Wrangler, and I know that she had driven it before I started changing out parts. By the time I asked her to drive it she was happy to have it running and driving well, and she was happy that my confidence in its driving performance was high.When I asked her what she thought about the Jeep when she finally got home her response was it was "like butter"My confidence in this product and the quality of their workmanship is definitely high.

I've had 3 of them in my lifetime and they've always impressed me. Clutch pedal feel is about the same as stock, but the holding power is significantly more. Break them in like you're supposed to, and they will last a long while with normal and spirited driving.

I love the product, very smooth, changes the way the clutch feels a bit, but not in a bad way. Over all great product no complaints.

If you need a stronger clutch do to engine modifications and the stock clutch slips like crazy, this is the clutch for you! And, if you already paid the big bucks for a performance built 4.0 HO than the centerforce high interia flywheel is also what you need. JEEP- just empty every pocket?!
