Did the trick
Our diesel furnace worked great but we were surprised at how loud it was outside when first firing up. The local RV dealer didn't have any ideas on how to reduce the noise so I started researching and landed on this muffler. It works as advertised and made a big difference to the neighboring RVers at the campground. Highly recommend. I also ordered a new stainless pipe to aid in the install and move the exit to nearer the back of the sprinter RV we have which likely also helped.

Package was shipped out promptly and delivered on time.
Muffler was going to be used with espar heater but the quality of the muffler is made with very cheap material. I did install and ran heater but ended up taking it off and bought an authentic espar muffler.

Garbage by design
OK, first thing; when you look into one end you can see clear through. Although, my unit broke apart during installation and I wasn't able to test the acoustics, I can't imagine any muffling is going to happen. It's an entirely clear, unobstructed path from inlet to outlet. Seriously. Inside I can see a compression spring and some sort of waffling material. Maybe that dampens some of the resonant frequencies, but I have a hard time believing it does much.More importantly though, the manufacturing is a joke. Two tack welds hold the inlet and outlet pipe to the main body. You can see light where the two halves meet (around the inlet/outlet). It's not even sealed! When I tried to fit it onto the exhaust pipe, with moderate pressure and rotation, the tack welds failed and the inlet/outlet where floating loose. Wow.

Good for parking heater
Reduced exhaust noise quite a bit when installed on my chinese diesel heater

Not actually a muffler/silencer. A straight pipe. Useful ONLY as a way to join two 1" exhaust pipes.
As others have noted, and the seller clearly describes (though buried in the fine print) this is not actually a muffler, despite the shape of the outside and the name of the product.Inside, it's just a straight pipe you can see right through from one end to the other. Only the authentic Webasto muffler actually follows the curved path of the outside shape and muffles your exhaust. Also the metal is much thinner than a real Webasto muffler. You get what you pay for.I knew this, having watched a youtube video about it, but that's OK- I was just looking for a way to join two 1" exhaust pipes to get the exhaust all the way to the back of the car. Turns out this is basiclaly the only option for this on Amazon. And it works fine for that! A couple of pipe clamps and you're good to go.For this use, I DID get what I paid for, and am satisfied. But it's not a muffler/silencer, so only 3 stars for misleading shape and product description.

Works Well
I used this with an Espar heater on a Mercedes Sprinter. It works fine and was not hard to install. I wish that some extra flex exhaust piping would be provided since it is needed for best installation.

watch when you ordered any diesel heater that the muffler is included
I had ordered a 5kw diesel heater and realized that the muffler didn't come with it, so I had to ordered a muffler which took a week to get. It does quite the noise.

Does The Trick
This is a great muffler/silencer that reduces my heater exhaust noise down to a reasonable level. I really like mufflers like this one that you can see straight through because they are much less likely to cause poor heater operation especially when running at lower settings. Over time and especially when you’re dealing with soot/carbon buildup, these kinds of mufflers still offer the least back pressure. I’ve tried the other mufflers that bend the air through and yes they quieten really well but they are restricting the exhaust output. When dealing with parking heaters, long life and peak performance involves unrestricted intakes and exhaust ducts both inside and outside. Just going by my four years of experience with various heaters including Chinese clones and Webasto units and thousands of hours of use.

Garbage
This is not a muffler, the thing is made for some type off who knows what but not a muffler. Leaking everywhere, doesn’t work, very poorly made

Works OK
Exhaust appears to leak out all sides of this unit. The crimping and spot welding could be better
