Excellent customer service overcame a minor problem over a year into owning it. I caused the problem by shutting the hinge onto a folding camping chair, but they rush-shipped the replacement hinge out to me.It opens from both sides, which is a big plus for me.Wind noise did not increase appreciably when I put this on our Grand Cherokee. I like the look of it - the smooth silver top looks more finished and doesn't collect or show road grime, and the textured bottom reduces noise and helps with gas mileage.I'd buy it again even considering the minor issue with the hinge, which hasn't repeated now after another year.

This is a truly excellent cargo carrier. It is built like a tank and doesn't feel flimsy like many carriers. There is no discernible sound at highway speeds and it looks good enough to leave on all the time.Installation was a breeze, but it is on the heavier side so two people lifting is best. The cargo mat is really nice - helps keep the skis and other items in check.Only complaint would be the volume is a bit awkward - I find it difficult to determine what will fit where, but I am sure I will get used to it.Really happy with it so far.

Purchased what turned out to be a poorly engineered device that while looking great once on the car - failed within 3 days with 3 sets of ski's (1 childs) and a snowboard - no poles. The unit disconnected in the rear and so every time you opened or closed it - the door would slip off to the side which then required two people to properly close it - one from each side. There was no way to get the flange to re-attach. I can't even tell if it is broken or just poorly engineered. The strain also creates an issue with the lock cylinders that seem to now turn inside of the mechanism - making it extremely hard to lock properly without straining the metal key. This became problematic while on our ski trip.Given the price and the style - complete waste of $ given that a similar unit would probably be half the price and not be so disappointing that I politely asked amazon to refund my $ vs replacing the unit.You would think it would just work...

So many compliments on this cargo carrier, very sleek and smooth. had for six months and it's very durable. A bit of headwind noise but that's common on all carriers. Hard to find but well worth the price!!
