Arne Jacobsen: Compact Design Portfolio
I have found that the Arne Jacobsen- Compact Design Portfolio is an excellent introduction to the many accomplishments of this legendary Danish Architect and Designer. This book features many of the products that he designed back in the 1950's and 60's, most of which are still in production today. This book also includes many of his Architectural achievments such as the SAS Royal Hotel, Copenhagen. I highly recommend it for anyone studying Design and Architecture. He was "The man" and way ahead of his time.

An excellent little book
This book gives a good insight in to the life of Arne Jacobsen. There are numerous good quality black & white and colour photographs throughout. Whilst it is only a compact book, and can't possible show the whole of his work, it did show me that he designed numerous other things besides his famous lights, cutlery, clocks and chairs. He also designed door handles, fabric and even a garden. I also received a new book called 'Objects and Furniture Design Arne Jacobsen' by Ediciones Poligrafa, which is inferior in every way. It is a siliar size, and has a similar content, but the photographs and very poor, and nearly all in black and white. What is the point of trying to marvel at his wonderful designs, when the photos they are trying to represent are grainy, blurred and poor quality? Try and obtain this compact book instead, or splash out and get a larger, more definitive book, on this fantastic designer instead.
