Wish i’d gotten this when i signed up for ancestry
If i had, i’d be finished my research by now! It explains all the words and categories that i likely didn’t understand, and — by spending time reading — i’m finding it much easier to research using the ancestry software. Answers the why and why not questions i didn’t know enough to ask…

Informational and in depth
I don't usually enjoy using a written guide. However, I find this book a great resource, not only working with the Ancestry sight, it guides you to other resources as well. I'm going to appreciate having it to turn to on my journey.

Must Read for all levels of genealogical experience
I liked how the author blended the lessons in this book directly with an individuals Ancestry.com account. This book is for anybody getting started in building their family tree as well as experienced genealogists. For me, I chose this book so I could read about Ancestry.com and how it works BEFORE I started my Family Tree.

just an ok book
This is just a book of forms nothing more. Did not realize it when i purchased it. Guess it would be great for those who want to hand record records in a book rather than on line.

very useful but very USA oriented
This book is very helpful, with lots of good guidance, but it is primarily for an American reader, and is weak on British information sourcing before 1837.

Helpful guide to how to use Ancestry.com
If you need help about how to use Ancestry.com, this is a very good and recent book written in 2018. It takes you through the different tasks and shows you ways to get the most out of making and managing your tree, searching many different types of databases, including the valuable Card Catalog and connecting with other researchers. It even has a basic chapter on what to do with your DNA test results.Cynthia

Ok but is there a UK version?
It’s written for the American site which differs quite a bit from the UK site.
