Great Buy with better-than-stock
Really love that this Surface 4 comes with upgraded HDD and Windows 11 Pro. These upgrades made this laptop a better choice than a newer Surface with less specs. Shipping was super fast (2 days). I would buy from this seller again.

trash
Machine says there's no operating system sometimes, and sometimes it does not. The seller here on amazon is useless. If you're needing a business machine, this isn't it. If you're needing actual customer service when the equipment (after spending $1300) is failing, Amazon, Microsoft, and this seller, are a losing combination. You will have to play games between Amazon and the seller, while they attempt to figure out how to avoid responsibility for their faulty products (I am pretty sure we were sold a refurbished machine). Microsoft is even worse to deal with (you will call them and tell them your machine isn't working, and they'll tell you to go online to fill out a form...but you can't because your machine doesn't work. As much as I despise Apple, it appears that may be our only solution. In short, don't buy anything like this from Amazon if you're a business customer. Don't but ANYTHING from this seller. Don't put your business in the hands of people who can't run a business.

Open box
Initial update phase failed at about the halfway point. It was also booting slowly so I reloaded the OS saving nothing and it fixed the problem.

Wrong stylus
I really love the computer. But I should have looked elsewhere and realized this wasn't from windows. You sent me a stylus that is incompatible. I'm annoyed and frustrated that I got this crappy stylus that I can't use.

2 of 3 laptops ordered never made it passed the boot screen.
2 out of 3 laptops ordered from this seller were inoperable and failed to proceed passed the boot menu with the error stating that there was no OS Boot file. I do not recommend using this seller. See details below.I ordered one of these laptops for an employee who used it without issues for nearly two months and I decided to use this seller for our future Surface Laptop 5 purchases. I ordered a second laptop on March 31st, 2025 and a third on April 4th, 2025. The second arrived on Wednesday the 2nd of April, and I was able to set it up for the employee by the end of the week. Because it went smoothly, I ordered a third so that I would have one on inventory. The new employee arrived on Monday and used it that day and again on Tuesday. By Tuesday afternoon, he began having issues with it. The screen flickered, and he received the blue screen of death the first time. When he tried to restart it, it failed to boot twice before finally getting passed it. Since he was able to get passed the boot menu, he did not mention it to me, but the next morning, it happened again.Again he failed to mention it to me because he was able to try again and it passed the boot menu. He encountered another problem though and he had me reset his password even though we had already completed it. He continued using the laptop with the same issues but on Friday, the computer finally failed to pass the boot menu completely. As the tech Administrator, I did everything I could to fix the issue from modifying the boot order, to trying to open the WinRe (Windows Repair Tool) which proved to be inaccessible. I used the command prompt to check and repair the drive but could find no errors. I attempted to boot from a USB drive but that also failed.I requested that the seller contact me, but I couldn't get a hold of anyone and I was still within the return or replace period so I took action to get the item returned with plans to use the laptop on inventory (Third laptop). When I booted the last machine up, it was unable to make it passed the boot menu, and unlike the other one, it had never been taken out of the box.I have just sent both laptops back and strongly suggest that you use caution before using this vendor as I am unsure whether the issue was that they installed the hardware improperly, or that they failed to install an operating system. Either way, one faulty machine is a coincidence, but two is suspicious.
