Very quiet
This is definitely quite as advertised. It does state that it's foam and its a soft foam. I worry it will break down easily. Especially with how children can be with these kinds of things. It's not a bad price for what you get and if you use it exclusively inside it would probably be just fine.

The ball barely bounces. Extremely disappointed.

Great for kids
My daughter loves this quiet basketball. Being a parent of kids that plays sports this basketball is a must have if you don't want to hear the constant bouncing of the ball in the home. It is easy to hold and very comfortable to carry. It bounces great even though it is not a hard ball.
