Big Night: Dinners, Parties, and Dinner Parties - A Cookbook

WHERE has this book been all my life?! As an avid cook and occasional host, I’m always looking for recipes that feed more than 4 people (that aren’t soup or lasagna or a GIANT meat), that can serve as a fun and unique menu, but also don’t stress me out so much that I’m no longer having fun hosting. This book has so many good tips, it’s wildly fun to read, and makes me want to turn my NY apartment into the hottest restaurant in my neighborhood. I love Big Night and this book is like bringing the whole shop home with you!

I was super excited to finally receive this book! It has inspired me to host my first dinner party with friends in a long time, and I am so excited to take this on my next family vacation to cook through with them!

This book is unfussy, fun, and downright useful for any meal, snack time, happy hour, or celebration you might be planning. It is also absolutely gorgeous to thumb through! In these pages, I found my absolute favorite salad dressing, a perfectly fresh martini recipe (and I am very particular about martinis), and important reminders for things like when to take the cheese out of the fridge or ensure you season at each step of your salad prep. Katherine goes above and beyond to include something called " A Seasonal Sides Matrix" which takes the guessing out of what to pair with almost any main and the associated time requirement. With summer just beginning and produce abound, I couldn't be more excited to cook my way through this season with Big Night as my guide.
