MULTI-PURPOSE JIGSAW BLADE FOR POLYCARBONATE SHEETS AND SOFT MATERIALS

Useful blade for rigid insulation
This blade is sharp and cuts without the dust and mess of a normal blade in rigid insulation. By the time I had learned how to keep it straight though, I was at the end of the job. By trial and error I found that the jigsaw speed should be set to medium and the pendulum action on low. Let it cut and you'll be OK. I managed to cut 100mm celotex but you have to accept a bit of blade wander. 50mm and 25mm no problem. It's not easy though.

Perfect for cutting solid roof insulation
Was having a hell of a time cutting solid roof insulation with different hand saws and knives and all sorts. Flexible blades meant the cut would wander and the insulation was flaking like mad, making the job messy and irritating. Finally gave in and bought these jigsaw blades. Wasn't sure they'd do the job despite the reviews but turns out they're amazing! Should've saved myself time and effort and bought them weeks ago. They cut clean and straight (provided you don't force the cut). You can get incredibly precise with a bit of practice so taking on thin layers to get the perfect fit is easy to do.Fantastic purchase. My only regret is not buying them sooner.

OK for polycarbonate
Tried to use it on Perspex, but it would not touch it. Otherwise ideal for materials it was designed for.

Cutting insulation, save time & trouble, BUY THESE!
I struggled for years before these were available.. the fact that they cut (the wavy line is remniscent of a cheese slicer blade on a commercial berkel deli machine) & that is precisely hat is so effective, no jagged cuts, it needs to be smooth & forgiving (given the nature of he material).Max thickness 100mm (& you better be straight cutting with no flex, ie not for the absolute beginner) ..& a dedicated PIR foam insulation saw is still a handy friend to have to help you out!Wouldn't be without these blades, & what a good price for a pack of 3 purchased via Charles Watson (Ironmongers) Ltd

Excellent blade well worth the cost
I used this to cut 150mm rigid foam insulation. The blade cut through this well but you do need a good jigsaw with a guide to keep a straight cut. It’s a bit more awkward than using a traditional saw but there is no dust produced so worth the effort in my book. The blade did dull a bit due to the foil coating on the insulation, lukiley I had an insulation knife sharpening tool that extended the life of the blade. One final point, be careful, the blade gets hot due to the friction.
