Flagship Indeed!
I have only owned one other 8Bitdo controller before this one, the Ultimate 2C Black Myth Wukong edition. That controller is great and this new Ultimate 2 is even better. The new TMR analog sicks on the Ultimate 2 are just a touch more defined and sturdy than the Hall Effect sticks on the Ultimate 2C. These have less of a “loose” feeling to them. A slight bit tighter feeling. The D pad is a bit more clicky and less mushy feel. Diagonals on the D Pad in fighting games like Tekken 8 and Street Fighter 6 are indeed easier on this controller over the Ultimate 2C. It has almost double the battery life of the Ultimate 2C, comes with a charging dock that you can put the dongle inside of AND the dongle itself is USB C now. When you take the controller off the dock it automatically connects to your PC. It has 2 back paddles and 2 extra shoulder buttons that you can assign how you like in the Ultimate V2 Software. Also Hall Effect triggers with switches for the L and R trigger to make them feel like buttons instead of triggers if you like. Comes in handy depending on the game.On top of those things this controller has LED lights around the analog sticks that are customizable with the Ultimate V2 Software along with customizable button layouts, macros for multiple buttons assigned to a single button or back paddle. And you have 3 customizable profiles you can save. All of which you can’t do with the Ultimate 2C.There really isn’t a valid reason to not buy this over the Ultimate 2C or the previous generation Ultimate controller… unless you want less features, less battery life, worse analogue sticks and a worse D pad… and no eye candy with LED lighting!

Feel great in the hands, no noticeable input lag, best controller in the universe!
These are the best controllers I've ever used. They feel great in my hands. I always loved the Xbox One pads but these are even better. I've used a lot of controllers over the years but I can't get over how amazing these are. I own 3 8-bit do Ultimate controllers and they are still going strong after 3 years of play. This Ultimate 2 is even better than those I'm blown away and I'll be buying another one soon. I love that they are can sit on my desk and charge easily when not being used. Just sit them in their cradle when you're done. Bluetooth and 2.4ghz are great on these and I don't notice any input lag. I love that they added light up bases around the sticks. Also they really improved the analog triggers on these. They also added two new shoulder buttons L4 and R4 that I haven't tried yet, but it's awesome they are there. I use these controllers on my PC and Steam Deck. I hope 8-bit do makes these forever! I've never bought a bad product from these guys. I also have their snes style gamepads as well.

A great controller for a great price!
Honestly, when I purchased this controller at a friend's recommendation, I was very hesitant. I'm the kind of person that usually plays with wired controllers exclusively via a Windows PC, only using wireless when playing consoles. Input latency (the time it takes for an input on a device to make it to where it needs to go) is always one of my biggest problems. After receiving this controller, it probably took me a week to get over the fact that I could just pick up the controller out of the dock and it would automatically connect to the PC with no effort. I almost immediately forgot about the added input latency and decided that the tradeoff of convenience was very worth it! No more having to press or hold a home button to connect a controller to a device. No more having to wrestle with needing to keep a controller charged. The dock on this controller is its own beauty! The dock is shaped in such a way where you can easily slide the controller onto it without having to fiddle around with getting it into its form (if you have a Nintendo Switch, you know what I'm talking about). The dock itself has a hidden panel on the bottom that you can open up, which reveals the actual dongle, plugged into a USB port, that is used to connect the controller to your PC. If you'd like, you can take this dongle out of the port underneath, use that port for something else, and put the dongle elsewhere in your PC. Or, even better, if you're the kind of person that enjoys gaming in bed or on the sofa, you can just plug the dongle into your PC and then plug the dock in elsewhere, and just pick up the controller when you're ready to connect it!The controller itself is honestly very well put together and feels nice for the price you pay! The sticks and buttons all feel very nice. The face buttons are the perfect mix between soft and clicky, the bumpers are VERY satisfying to press, as they're big and have a very heavy click, and the hall effect joysticks have a very nice feel to their rotation and click. The DPad has a little bit too little feedback for my liking. Sometimes it's hard to tell you've even pressed it when you're hyper-focused on something in a game. The + and - buttons have a similar problem, but at least most games reserve those for pause-like functions! My only major gripe with the controller is that the triggers feel like Dualshock 4 triggers. To some people, that may sound like a huge positive, but to me it's a negative. I've always disliked the feel of those triggers, so these triggers don't have the greatest usage from me.Overall, this controller is GREAT bang for your buck! I can't recommend it enough, especially if you're on the edge about it.

Great controller, not perfect though
4th 8bitdo controller I've owned (N30 Pro, SN30 Pro, SN30 Pro 2), first one I've genuinely enjoyed playing with. Super comfortable in the hand, great build quality. Bumpers are super clicky when switched to that mode as are all other buttons in general. Their software for remapping is easy to use.As for the downsides, being forced into only being able to remap buttons, including the back paddles and L4/R4 to other buttons and not keyboard functions is disappointing. Same as the SN30 Pro 2, just hoped it was something that would have changed in this iteration. Still nice to be able to change key bindings, but more freedom would be nice. Additionally, while RGB might be a very appealing feature to some, a button dedicated to it seems excessive. Would definitely have preferred it be something that could only be interacted with via the software or through multiple button presses, freeing up the single button for something else. My final gripe is that the controller is not bluetooth compatible with PC and that the dongle is rather large. Just seems like an odd step backwards from the SN30 Pro 2 that I've had for years.
