Well made
Not made with cheap plastic and has a nice weight on it so you know it’s not made cheap. Do t know where your breathe goes out which is sort of weird, but it works very well. It sounds awesome and it’s not too loud, but if you blow in harder, it does get a little bit louder. I like when instruments because I have a lot of long problems and it helps to keep my lungs stronger. Especially glowing into it for a long period of time a continuous breath. I have not tried the app out yet and don’t think I need all those extras, but I might do it for fun later. But this is not exactly a toy at all. Lisa not as expensive as the estimate used on a Tonight Show that cost a few thousand dollars. It’s a smaller version of that and it’s cool. Relaxing for me to use. And the cats love it too. I love all musical instruments. But this one is kind of cool.

Lack of instructions
Looks and sounds great but the lack of instructions in box is disappointing. I purchased for myself and played clarinet in HS 50 years ago, so most would assume it would be easy to play. The only instructions are printed on approximately 3” by 3” pages. Very small type with very light print. Easy fix would be to provide more online visual assistance. Research revealed this product is sold by different companies with different names. So be careful in selecting the brand you buy especially if it will be a gift!

Overall, excellent instrument for the price
I really like it. The sound of every note in the 3 different octaves, is very pure, and most of the tones or "instruments" options are good. The fingering is easy, except maybe for switching between octaves at the back of the instrument. The speaker of the flute is understandably not the best, but if you connect it to a bigger and better speaker, it sounds great!

Affordable, and sounds great!
Great introduction into digital wind instruments for a fair price too. The 3W speaker sounds good and it additionally has a 3.5mm output so you can record with it or use headphones. The 12 different instruments are useable and exotic. there is also built in reverb to make it sound like you are playing in a theatre or in a cave for your tribal buddies.

Seems just OK
I'm new to the EWI world. I order this and the Vangoa and I kept the Vangoa. They were similar, the EX may of had made more options, but I felt better playing the Vangoa.I returned this item. Just wasn't for me.

Challenging for someone without woodwind experience but a nice instrument to play around with
I decided to try out this digital wind instrument on a whim, thinking it might be a fun addition for my kids or my mom to learn how to play. Having played brass instruments throughout my school years, I was intrigued by the idea of diving into something more akin to a woodwind. However, it turns out that my brain simply doesn't want to cooperate with learning the fingerings. That said, I believe someone with a background in woodwind instruments would have a blast with it. What pleasantly surprised me was the quality of the tones produced by this digital instrument. The sounds are crisp and, while they have a slightly electronic edge, they exceeded my expectations. The various flute options, in particular, sounded fantastic. Even the clarinet produced a rich and pleasing tone that caught me off guard. Despite my personal struggles with it, I can see the potential for this digital wind instrument to provide a lot of enjoyment and musical exploration for those with the right background and interest.

IF YOU WANT MUSIC LIVE.....
This was for my son's family. He plays guitar, but like to play on anything. My granddaughters were a bit fickle about what they might want to learn. Since some instruments can be a real "investment" in both the unit and the lessons, I felt something like this a good way to test the waters. IT WORKED. Since IT'S THERE, no more question about what to bring home, at least for now. Because it is versatile and easy to start making some "good sounds" from it right way, it is also self motivating. Being one who owned brass instruments, I can tell you from experience it takes FORCING the motivation sometimes when you have an instrument that sounds better in a band than solo. This little "flute" (recorder) is it's own little band.

It nice to use when not disturbing other.
It was nice, the sound was beautiful, the value for the money is questionable, it took some time to get use to play with when moving your thumbs to play it on a high nor low pitch, otherwise it is similar to hold it like a recorder. Very easy to play. Took some time to figure out the other buttons. But it performance is definitely great especially if you want to play it quietly or plug it with your headphones or earphones.
