Adesso 4066-22 Boulevard Table Lamp, 28 in., 2 x 100 W Incandescent/26W CFL, Brushed Steel Finish, 1 Bedside Lamp

After spending hours and days searching online and in stores for attractive affordable lamps, I took a chance and ordered two of these for my nightstands. This pair provides symmetry and class in my otherwise eclectic furnished bedroom. I appreciate the flexibility of lighting for ambience and reading. The light is warm and cheerful or cozy as one desires. I was not about to spend a fortune at a high end store which now is charging additionally for a shade, for crying out loud! . The Boulevard lamp is adequate in construction. Not exactly heavy weight. Although it won't become a family heirloom, the style is classically simple and artistic and would be compatible in a variety of settings. The size is ample for a living room. In the bedroom it demands more than a wimpy size nightstand. Some might guess I spent more than I did on these lamps. The shades are white when the lamps are unlit; turned on, they appear a soft ivory. The order arrived in just a day or so (amazing) and was well packaged and in fine condition. Assembly was straight forward. I am happy with my purchase and the excellent service.Addendum: After using these lamps for a while I now notice that the column tilts ever-so-slightly. While others may not notice this, it annoys me and I wish I had not made the purchase because of this poor workmanship.

This is a very attractive, tall metal lamp with dual lights; one of the things I really like about it is you can put an oversize bulb (like a 100 watt equivalent LED bulb) in the socket, and the bulb will fit with plenty of space between shade and bulb. Before I bought this, I noted other reviewers complained about damaged shades; my unit was shipped in two cardboard boxes (the outer box had a gash in it from transport, I guess), but the second box was unscathed. Also it was well packed inside with cardboard supports to prevent the shade from being crushed. It would take a lot to damage this in transport NOW. (Maybe in past it wasn't as well protected). The lamp is quite tall, 28 inches high, and it has a decently heavy 8 inch base. I have mine up very high in the room to provide light that my new ceiling fan and light doesn't provide and I bought an extension cord that has a switch in the middle of it to connect to the lamp so I won't have to pull the little chain switches down each time to turn it on and off. By using two LED bulbs that are equivalent to 100 watts each, you can get a lot of light for a small room for a pretty reasonable price. My wife (more discerning than me) also thinks it is attractive and throws out a lot of light. Oh, for those who want an American lamp, this isn't it; it is made in China (but the quality control on this product is very high). Oh, one more thing: there is some simple assembly required. You don't need any special tools; you just screw in the pieces and pull the cord through. It takes about 3 minutes,assuming you have some dexterity.

Mattresses are getting so thick that standard bedside lamps are aiming too low and it is hard to read in bed. That is why I want taller lamps and/or lamps with two bulbs.This lamp is packaged very well and very easy to put together. It isn't as tall as I would like, but it does have two bulb sockets which makes for a much brighter reading environment. I believe it is rated for 100 watt bulbs, but I bought two warm 60 watt LED bulbs and together they are nice and bright.I prefer a lamp I bought for myself a couple of months ago, but the price keeps going up. Since this is for my husband I decided this is good enough. He rarely reads more than two sentences before falling asleep anyway. Seriously, it is a very good, classic lamp that I would buy again if needed.

Bought this lamp even though it had mixed reviews, and we were very disappointed. The idea of the lamp is great but the execution is awful. Our lamp arrive in tact and undamaged, thankfully. Packaging was poor though, and ended with styrofoam all over the floor and clinging to the lamp shade and body.As other people have mentioned, the body of the lamp itself does not line up. It looks crooked and the seams are very visible. This is the main reason we returned the lamp. It’s so impossible to make the lamp look straight.Very disappointed in the product. We got a different lamp from a different brand that had a similar style and it stands up straight flawlessly. It can’t be that difficult to make a quality lamp. At best, this lamp seems to be worth $25 from Walmart. Do not spend the money on it!!

I ordered this lamp with a bit of hesitation, based on the other reviews. The only complaint I have is that the packaging doesn't do enough to protect the lampshade, which arrived with a couple of dents. I was able to push them out, and they were near the seam, which I planned to cheat to the wall anyway, but still, there needs to be more packing material around the shade to protect it en route. These boxes get thrown around. Damage will happen.As for the base not fitting together as others have claimed, I had no problems. Perhaps they didn't get the threads started properly to begin with, but my base screwed together just fine and screwed together tightly enough that I can hardly see where the three pieces join each other.It's a great-looking lamp. The price was right. And with the capacity for two 100-watt bulbs, this baby throws off a lot of light. Recommended, for sure.

The lampshade is HUGE! I bought it for a small bedroom, and the lamp shade is way too big for the space. It might be okay in larger bedroom or a living room. The lamp is also much shorter than I expected, and the base is very thick. It's just an awkward size all around. Also, the power cord is quite short, so you need to place the lamp right next to an outlet or get an extension cord.It came undamaged and the quality seems fine. The lamp looks different than Amazon's photo- the lampshade is white, and the base is silver.
