So we run out of ice when family visits, so I purchased this item. Works great, produces and holds ice, all trays, lids, ice, contained in one compact unit. The only caveat, the ice cubes are small. But hey, it works, happy with the purchase, would purchase again.

Okay... So, I finally had to replace my rickety old refrigerator for something new, after it selfishly decided it wasn't going to cool anymore.I actually do not use a lot of ice, and I really don't have a need for an automatic ice maker. But, occasionally, it is nice to have some ice cubes.This kit for making mini ice cubes fits the bill perfectly for my needs. It comes with a couple of trays to make the cubes, it has a storage bin, plus a scoop to move cubes from the storage bin into a beverage container. AWESOME!The cubes are easily removed from the tray with a simple push of the storage bin lid, making the ice trays ready for the next set of cubes. Just add water.I'm very happy with this purchase.

So right now i'm 50/50 here. 1/2 the time all the ice falls out into the box the other 1/2 i have to run under warm water for a few seconds to get the ice out. The ice always shatters so the ice is inconstant and is usually more crushed then square. These things are way to expensive for the results you get. Don't waste your money there are cheaper better working models on amazon.

This works and takes up very little space! Ice cubes release into the bin quite easily. Good value for the price. Recommend!

Cube size is perfect. Trays release well if you do it as intended (push down on the box -- don't twist like normal trays). As with any trays, don't stack them while making ice and they'll freeze better.

First thing I noticed is that the lower tray doesn't freeze as quickly as the top tray. Second thing is the bin only holds the ice from the two trays. So if you want to stock pile ice you'll have to put it into bags. Third thing is the scoop doesn't fit in the bin when it has ice in it
