I wanted to wait before writing a review to see how it would hold up. I ordered this after my other holder gave out and it was no longer in stock. Wellllll.....let me tell you, this one is BETTER!! It holds my phone tight, it releases with just a push of a button behind it, which is better than squeezing 2 levers together like my old one. The best part: it moves in SO MANY DIRECTIONS!! It swivels, it moves up, down, side ways....every which way! It has a very strong suction and has not fallen down once. My old one would fall because with the Texas heat it would lose suction. Not this one!! It has held up through the Texas heat just fine! I really recommend this. My daughter tells me I look like a transport/deliver driver with it which would actually be a great asset for anyone working in that field!! I use it for my travels and also just as a convenience to hold my phone while I talk and drive even though I have blue tooth. I'm old school, I have to see my phone near me when I talk hahaha

I should have known the moment I pulled the plastic off the bottom. It's all about the adhesive. And that isn't so great either. I could tell because as I touched the bottom "clear" part I left the kind of fingerprint that one would leave on a piece of scotch tape. But I gave it a shot anyway.Couldn't mount it on my dashboard. But on my windshield, without any "vacuuming" it was like superglued on. I couldn't reposition it and had to take a hard utensile to get it off, almost like scraping off an old city tax decal. No way I was going to try to put it back on. Why?...The articulation is quite limited. While it "locks" in place, the "arms" need you to push a button in to change position. I suppose if you can stick the thing to your windshield, get it positioned where you won't ever want to change it you'll be ok.I have no idea how the suction thing could or would work. I've had suction mounting devices before and this one gets an F- for that. I bought it because it was cheap. And there are others that look identical in photos but a lot more money. The same? I don't know, but I'm not taking a chance on them either. Even if the suction is better on the other "brands" I presume the articulation will be the same. You've been warned.

This thing has not fallen off the bottom of my dash board since the first day I put it there. I put a box of nails on the phone holder, which weighed approximately the same as my phone, for 24 hours and it held. I then put a 18 volt battery, which weighed approximately twice as much as my phone, for another 24 hours, and again it held. Excellent product!!!

Great mount, but the phone holder would not hold the phone. The phone fell forward out of the mount. The reason I purchased this mount was because I did not wish to have the phone held in front of the vent heating up my phone or in front of my car's screen with a CD mounted phone holder. So I purchase a magnetic phone holder that went in a vent and took the magnetic portion of the mount and replaced the phone holder that came with this unit. Now I have the mount on my windshield with a magnetic phone holder. The mount is not in front of a vent or in front of my car's screen. PROBLEM SOLVED!

I tried this on my car and in my fiancé car. The suction is very strong, just clean it with soap and water in between cars or locations of where you want it so it'll keep the suction strong. I love that it's versatile for every angle. It has a locking feature to lock in position or unlock if you want to swivel the arm. Wish I bought this a long time ago.

Does not seal, does not hold, falls off immediately, is a complete failure … and all that applies before I moved the vehicle.

I loved how I can position the phone any way I need it! The suction is very strong, and it is very sturdy!!
