Big sound small speaker
Big sound small speaker. I am using it for my surround sound. Shakes the floor!! Sounds great especially for the price.

Solid sound that will fill your room nicely at moderately loud volume
I know high quality subs. Have had Velodyne, Kilpsche, and JL subs in my cars for years. Just needed to add some low end to my Sonos run den ceiling speakers. I normally listen at a moderately low volume, but sometimes go to a moderately loud volume. You’ll need a bigger more powerful sub if you’re really trying to crank it. But for the listening levels I’m doing could not be more happy with the quality of the low end. We’ll have to see how long she holds up. Make sure to set the volume and EQ filter at your max listening level to get the most out of it without distortion.

Inspection
A great little sub. However it did not work when I hooked it up. Instead of sending it back I did some trouble shooting and found the woofer was never plugged in. When I plugged it in every thing worked fine. I guessed they missed it on inspection.

Small sub with big results
I received Klipsch R40PMs for Christmas, and while they sound great, they were definitely missing the low end. Since they’re smaller speakers, I didn’t want a big sub, and since they were pricey, I didn’t want to spend a lot. I quickly found this sub and thought it would be perfect. After receiving this Rockville, I hooked it up right away, and was somewhat impressed. After moving it to the corner of the room, I can’t believe how much sound it puts out, and how deep it will hit. For comparison, I have the Klipsch RP 600Ms with a Klipsch R120SW in my living room, and this little sub will give my 12” Klipsch a run for its money. I am playing my smaller system at lower volumes, but it sounds absolutely amazing. The Rockville sounds like it’s delivering lower frequencies than the Klipsch, albeit at lower volumes, which is all I needed. I highly recommend this sub if you’re looking to fill out a smaller bookshelf system. Extremely happy with this purchase!

Very nice subwoofer
Very good subwoofer!I like everything about it, in terms of very smooth sounding base, and overall clarity that added to my surround sound system. Playing music and watching movies was very nice. But, for some reason, there is a continuous tone / buzzing sound admitting from the speakers when I’m playing anything at a low volume. Also, if I’m not playing any music or movies at all, that continuous buzzing sound is nonstop and there is no way to shut it off unless I turn the subwoofer off from the back.I tried everything I could to stop this buzzing sound. I lowered the past filter, turned down the volume but by doing so it took away the experience of having a subwoofer, because everything is coming in very low that the subwoofer is supposed to produce, while I’m having a listening experience. After a few days, I just couldn’t take it anymore, and I decided to return it. Very unfortunate because I really like the subwoofer.

Great bang for the buck
I wanted a little extra bass punch from my bookshelf stereo system, and decided to try this out. It’s ideal for my needs and the environment I live in. The construction appears solid, and the adjustments for basic things like volume and frequency cutoff are handy.I also want to compliment the customer service too. I had so questions before and after the purchase, and they were very courteous and helpful. All in all I think it’s a great product for a very affordable price.
