Putting it together is no one's idea of a good time, but the finished product is great. We love the look, and in a small room, it really is the best option. Couple of notes.Measuring is stressful - I checked every line with a level three times. In an old home, the height from the ceiling to the floor may not be exactly the same on all sides of the room. So I had to decide which plane I was going to follow. I decided to follow the floor, and it worked out for me.Also, consider that your wall may not be FLAT. Didn't see this one coming, but my wall bows out a little in the center, and while the guide-boards still screwed into the studs with a little encouragement, the headboard and the nightstands may not line up with absolute precision. I schimmy'd mine over to be a little left-of-center, and it solved most of the misalignment.I read all of the reviews here on amazon and I was COMPLETELY AWARE that if you follow the instructions, in some cases (like a floorboard radiator or tall base molding) your outlets may be higher than expected, and this headboard may interfere with it. I knew it. I measured twice, no THREE times and then added an inch extra. And don't you know it, I still partially covered the darn outlet! I had already installed a huge power-strip down there anyway, so it didn't really matter at the end, but beware. Measure 4 times!Oh, and let's just accept the fact that the nightstand assembly will test your patience.I'm glad I bought it, and it is an elegant addition to the room. The end product of this headboard is perfect for what we needed! We have 4 drawers in our bed frame and we’re unable to access two of those drawers with conventional side tables without moving everything out of the way. This solved all our problems! We received the headboard in two boxes and after opening both boxes and removing all pieces I noticed there were no instructions. I tried YouTubing tutorials with no luck. I then tried searching for some instructions to see if they were posted online. They were! However after exactly one step I realized that even tho the end product looks the same the ONLY instructions I found were from 2014 and all the pieces were VERY different. I tried calling and emailing “PrePac” with no success but I am also impatient and wasn’t going to wait two days for a response so I decided to try without instructions since I have put together a lot of IKEA furniture recently. Overall, it was pretty easy to put together took me, by myself it’s no instructions, about an hour. AFTER PICKING UP THE LAST PIECE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE DRAWER GUESS WHAT I FOUND!? The instructions. So don’t be like me and totally miss the instructions hiding under the bottom of the drawer that looks like a piece of cardboard. Be smart and use the instructions lol. I did wait for my husband to get home to help me lift the main part of the headboard onto the mount just cause it is quite large and awkward to lift by yourself.TO NOTE: I read everyone’s reviews about broken pieces and easily scratched pieces so I did do the ENTIRE headboard construction On 3 blankets since I have hard flooring. If you have carpeting I would recommend doing it on there to refuse scratches. The blankets seemed to eliminate scratches on the surface UNTILL I had to slide the headboard out of the way so I could drill the Mount into the wall. Just the tiniest edge slid off the blanket and the edge of the center piece of the headboard hot scuffed up. Not terrible but definitely noticeable if your a perfectionist. Also, the head board mounts on to the wall in 3 separate pieces: side table, large center piece, and side table. The main centerpiece and one of my side tables lined up perfectly. Then I tried to put the 2nd side table part on and noticed it hung about an eighth of an inch lower then the other two parts. I tried switching the side table to see if it was the Mount or the side table that was the issue, but it seems to be the Mount cause when I switched side the one that was lower was good and the one that was good was lower. We have sure the Mount was perfectly level and confirmed my wall was perfectly flat so not sure what the issue is here. I will leave it for a few days and see how much the one side table being off bugs me and if it does I will just in screw the Mount ATTACHED to the side table and drill the holes lower to compensate for whatever is going on.OVERALL: great headboard! Watch out for scratches when assembling, instructions are under the bottom part of the drawer in the second box, and make sure your Mount is level.

I love my new bed! I started putting it together at about 7 pm, my husband came home at 9 pm and we both worked on it until 3 am. That didn't include the storage drawers so I put them together the next day in about 2 hours. WARNING! This isn't a project for the faint of heart. It's not a small bed or a small headboard and I would definitely recommend being very careful as you put things together. Don't use a drill if you're not good with one because it would be very easy to strip out the wood.Keeping in mind what I paid - I am incredibly satisfied with my purchase. It looks great put together and the instructions for assembly were really simple to understand. It wasn't damaged in shipping and comes with a marker to cover any minor flaws (We still haven't used it).It's seems really sturdy and I don't worry about my kids jumping on my new bed.I would buy this again and again and I would definitely recommend it to a friend - except I want to be the only one with a cool floating head board so I'm not going to tell them. :)

I expected that this would be a very time consuming product to put together, and it was. Several small pieces were missing so we still haven't fully assembled two of the drawers and my one attempt to call this Seller was not very helpful. The quality is poor, the pieces often don't fit together (I had to secure to locations with wood screws because the holes didn't line up, or were two small for the metal secure-screw inserts. Would never have purchased this had I known how bad this product is.
