One of my co-workers inherited a 2 day old kitten. She was permitted to bring him to work and keep him in her office. Once he became mobile, but too young to leave at home, I ordered this playpen for him. My husband helped her set it up in her office since we weren’t sure how it would fit. He said it opened up smoothly, did not take up as much room as we thought it would and it really did not stick out like a sore thumb. In fact, it now looks like a piece of furniture is missing in her office. The little boy did have one or 2 accidents in it that wiped up nicely and nothing went through onto the carpet. Now that he is big enough to stay home, I put the playpen in my shed until the FFA hatches chickens. That will be the next usage. I will share how that goes in the spring. At this point I can say this is an easy, non tacky, affordable quick way to protect critters that will keep the space underneath dry. Side note: it will not support the 50 pound curious dog, but will pretty much pop back to its proper shape.

This was absolutely the best purchase I made for my brand new kitten. He was only four or five weeks old when we got him so I needed a space that he could be home but away from my other pets unless I was around a supervise, and give him time away and alone from the other pets when he is tired which is often because he is just a baby. There's room for a small litter box a bed many toys, is food bowls, etc. it size is perfect it doesn't take up too much space and is not very tall.. I would say definitely more for kittens than puppies, unless small puppies. It folds up into a small bag as needed, but I haven't done that yet. The material is easy to clean. I would definitely use this as I did for a baby animal, or maybe camping if you were taking your cat or small puppy. He really likes his little kitty playpen as I call it. It zips up over the top and is completely aerated so of course he's not stuffy in there. The netting starts about halfway up the side so that if he wants he can stand up and look outside while he's in there but otherwise he has privacy in his playpen. I zip it up at night when he's in there, or when I leave for errands so that none of the other pets bother him because he is still so small. Definitely a great purchase

This works very well for baby chicks, if they're being kept warm by a safe heat source. I have 18 chicks in it now that are a month old and they still have plenty of room for another week or so. It's very easy to spot clean, cuts down on dust some, pretty easy to keep them in while checking water and feed, and surprisingly when the lid is open completely for cleaning they like to sit and play around on the top rim for the most part. They'll get knocked off on to the floor now and then but jump right back up. It works well. EXCEPT!! Check very carefully for any loose threads on the inside. I found a chick with two wraps around her leg and about 12 wraps around her back toe, and tethered by about a foot of thread to the wall. The thread is very sharp and strong, fortunately I was able to hold her in one hand and remove all the thread with tiny, sharp sewing scissors very carefully. Her hind toe was black so I thought she'd lose it, but may only lose the tip. Other small animals could be hurt by the thread as well, and no animal should swallow thread. I'd buy it again though, it's well-made overall and a very good design, but I'd always check regularly for loose threads.

Bought this when we got a kitten and it’s good as a short term solution but it’s not durable and broken after using it a few weeks. The metal lining comes out of the sides eventually.

My three young female mice love this - it’s so big that I can sit inside it easily without touching any of the sides (I’m about 5’7”). This really helped the mice and I bond and allowed them to get used to my smell - after that they have all let me pick them up since. I’m able to set up challenge courses for them in there while I clean their cage. All three are great climbers and have not found a way to climb out (even when I don’t zip the top closed). I have a Maine coon mixed cat who is not able to (also doesn’t really want to) get into the play pen or bother the girls.the playpen is easy to clean and can be folded up and put away in less than a minute. Love it so much and would def recommend!!

Oh my god. Bought two of these for my lizards so they could go outside and they love these. These are really strong, don’t tear and they are absolutely huge.

This was a huge help for our family! We used this as a chicken coop for the first few weeks of our chicks lives. We had 4 in it at first, then 2. It had ample room. It was easy to move around and clean, but it is also easy to fold up and put away behind our cabinets til we need again. I would recommend putting puppy pads or newspaper along bottom before bedding. My chicks have poked tiny holes all along bottom. It isn’t very sturdy, which should be assumed by how it works, so having crawling toddlers was a little challenging. They would try to stand up on the edge which of course collapsed. So I put chairs around it for the birds safety. It did have a cleaner look than most coops also. I gave it a 4 because I feel like the quality of the material and mesh on it could be better. It was good for the price, but after 2 rounds of chicks, it has tons of holes on bottom and on the mesh.
