Beem Espresso Perfect Crema Plus Espresso Machine, 1.5 Litre, 1350 Watt, 15 Bar, Red

I am rarely moved to write product reviews, but having bought my Beem a month ago with only one previous review to go on, I wanted to share my experience so far.Item was shipped directly from Germany, so took somewhat longer than originally expected, but response to my query was reassuring and it promptly arrived the very next day. As expected, the plug is of continental (two-pin) type and after fiddling with adapters, I cut it off and attached a UK plug, though the cord might have been longer.I chose the Beem over better-known brands, as it seemed one of the simplest machines on the market, with fewer switches/settings to go wrong than some. I am less interested in frothed milk than I am in aromatic espresso with plenty of crema and so far I am not disappointed.I would say that the crema is richer than just about any other basic domestic machine I have experienced, without the need for special settings, inserts, or fiddling about. Having used three types of bean, home ground or prepacked, results have been consistently excellent. I over-ground some beans early on, resulting in very fine tamped coffee, with no water coming through at all, but lesson learnt.Having used the steamer on a handful of occasions, this produces very smooth, creamy froth and is a cinch to clean. Yes, the machine and the steamer both drip/leak somewhat after use, but that's what the drip tray is for and I expect water where there is steam, so I would say other reviewers shouldn't be surprised.As long as my machine doesn't 'blow up' in the way that others have reported, I would say I am highly delighted with my Beem and would recommend it as excellent sub-£100 value.

Why not leave enough room for the mug? Had to remove the drip tray!! Otherwise it's fine...

This really is a superb machine especially at this price point. I have owned one of these for eight months now and have made excellent espresso based coffees from the first attempt. As others have said, there is no automatic cut off so you need to keep an eye on it. It is always a good idea to use the steamer to heat the coffee cup first so you can enjoy your drink at optimum temperature. One thing to look out for is that the machine releases the back pressure, after delivering your espresso shot, through the drip tray. As this is steam, some of it manages to bypass the drip tray and exit through the drain holes below onto the work surface beneath the machine making it look asthough it is leaking. People with real wood work surfaces would be best sitting the coffee maker on a tray.My last bit of guidance is don't buy ground espresso coffee. It tends to be ground more finely and clogs the machine preventing water from getting through. Just buy ordinary ground coffee for cafetieres and filter machines and you will enjoy good espresso everytime.

Machine arrived promptly. No adaptor which had been advertised. Emailed, adaptor arrived-wrong type. Emailed again, adaptor arrived - still wrong type,so I vbought one.Made 4 cups of delicious coffee and it blew up (literally).Got my money back but without a machine for 2 months.

this coffee machine was fine for about one month then it the steamer went faulty followed by a failure of some component insidewhich cause a considerable amount of water to be leaked onto the work surface each time it was used hence over use of water and electricity to heat the water. has been returned to manufacturer awaiting update from the and replacement item. not expecting a reply until 3rd or 4th Jan 2013 it does make a fine cup of coffee when working.it did take me nearly half a day to obtain a returns lable to send the item back suggest that future products are sent with a prepaid returns label to cover the warranty period.UT

great espresso machine. it is much better than my previous italian one. makes great foam in every cup. the coffee comes out strong and full of flavour. no issues at all. they send me even an UK plug but I am using an adaptor, it`s easier. very happy! :)

This machine was great until it went pop, then unfortunately after I'd had the machine for three months and needed to send it back , the trouble started. I Havre now returned it but cannot get a refund or replacement and the company won't acknowledge my messages.Wasted my money

Its only flaw is the height from nozzles to base plate is small for mugs

la cafetera mola tanto desde cuando la compre que tuve que hacer otros 3 pedidos ... todos quien han probado el cafe super encantados...o sea el cafe sale espectacular cremoso con su espumita super!...hasta con el cafe mas barato...la recomiendo SI es la mejor compra

il prodotto arrivato è come da voi inserzionato,manca però all'interno il manuale di istruzioni in italiano,che ho richiesto alla Beem,che mi hanno risposto via mail di scaricare dal loro sito,dove però non l'ho trovato..comunque dopo circa dieci giorni e forse 20 caffè erogati la macchina ha cominciato a buttare acqua da tutte le parti e ad oggi dopo nenche 20 giorni è inutilizzabilesto scrivendo alla beem per ricevere assistenza e sapere se è presente in Italia.tutto perfetto la beem7amazon hanno sostituito il pezzo ed io non ho sborsato neanche un eurobravissimioggi dopo qualche mese la macchina fa un caffe pessimio ed annacquato COSA POSSO FARE PER RIMEDIARE ????

Un produit de qualité, solide, et adapté à tous types de café ( moulu, sachets ESE et même sachets de type Senseo).Basique d'utilisation, vous réglez vous même la quantité de café dans votre tasse ( deux écoulements permettent de faire une ou deux tasses à la fois).Fourni avec 2 filtres de capacité différentes; cela vous permet de concentrer votre café suivant votre gout.Facile à nettoyer, les éléments passent au lave vaisselle sans soucis.Point intéressant, l'eau chauffe très rapidement; de plus le bac a une capacité 1.5L.Enfin cette cafetière à prix modeste est esthétiquement agréable (bords arrondis, couleur rouge de bon aspect).bref je suis très satisfait de ce produit.

Ich besitze diese Espressomaschine jetzt etwa ein Jahr und mache täglich etwa 7-10 verlängerte Espressi damit. Die Maschine arbeitet immer noch zuverlässig und ich kann insgesamt schon mal sagen dass sich der Kauf gelohnt hat.Die Nachteile sind: -Mann kann nur sehr kleine Tassen unterstellen. Ich habe einfach das Abtropfsieb weggeworfen, jetzt passt meine Kaffeetasse drunter.-Der Deckel vom Wasserbehälter vibriert, aber ihn festzuhalten ist eigentlich kein Problem, und schon ist die Maschine viel leiser.-Das Wasserauffangbecken ist etwas undicht und man muss öfter mal mit einem Lappen unter dem Gerät wischen. Ich habe mich daran gewöhnt, und ich glaube auch nicht dass jemals Lebensgefahr bestand. Der Wassertank ist bei mir übrigens absolut dicht.-Was nett gemeint ist, aber beim reinigen stört, sind die Einlassungen in dem Satzbehälter, die wohl ein Herausfallen des Siebes beim Ausschlagen verhindern sollen...man bekommt das Ding wirklich sehr schwer raus. Ich für meinen Teil kratze das Sieb eh mit einem Löffel aus, aber wer es professionel ausschlagen will, der sollte das auch ohne so eine Kindersicherung hinbekommen oder sein lassen.Das wars auch schon, die klaren Vorzüge des Gerätes sind: -Es heizt wirklich sehr schnell auf, in etwa 20 Sekunden, und auch ein verlängerter Espresso wird heiss geliefert.-Der Preis, keine Frage.-Ich finde sie sieht sehr hübsch aus.-Der Schaumeffekt, der wohl durch die Gummierung im Sieb erziehlt wird. Scheint gutes Material zu sein, funktioniert immer noch.-Was einfach gesagt werden muss ist, dass die Hersteller eine Espressomaschine liefern die alles kann was sie können muss, mit genügend Druck heisses Wasser durch den espresso pressen. Sie funktioniert nach einem Jahr noch einwandfrei und ist (fast, s.o.) leicht zu reinigen.Ich kann den Kauf nur empfehlen, für den Preis eine tolle Verbesserung der Lebensqualität. Ich bin zufrieden.Übrigens schmeckt damit auch ein normaler Kaffee viel besser.

RETTIFICO:Rotta, acqua da tutte le parti, con pochissimi caffè fatti, ed è successo subito dopo la scadenza per restituirla... :(Arrivata nei tempi, l'oggetto è esattamente come da descrizione. La macchina funziona bene e la costruzione è abbastanza robusta per durare nel tempo, molto comodo il piano con piastra "scalda tazze" sul piano superiore. Con il caffè in polvere viene fuori una gustosa crema, ottimo anche il sistema vapore x il cappuccino. Passando ai DIFETTI, manuale NON ITALIANO. Poi, con le cialde classiche viene fuori un caffè buono ogni 3, non si capisce quale possa essere il problema, a volte con le cialde infatti fa' acqua da tutte le parti... Potrei dare 5 stelle solo risolto il problema cialde. Consiglio questo oggetto per un uso poco intensivo, ossia pochi caffè al giorno.
