The back back sliding glass door handle finally gave way and broke after about 15 - 20 years, it cracked and snapped off. Bought this which was a perfect replacement and does exactly what its intended to and does it well.Perfect fit, high quality, durable, easy to install. I could definitely say this was a good value and safely recommend.

This is a solid kit. High quality, worked on my door just fine... even if it is the wrong color for my needs. I needed a working handle faster than a matching handle, so this is what I'm stuck with for now. Would buy again .

Purchased this replacement handle for my slider. First, there were no instructions. Second, the lock was stuck. And third, the pin that comes out of the lock and connects to the inside latch was to long by a quarter inch. I had to cut the pin down and graphite the lock. After paying $10 extra dollars to have it delivered next, I really didn’t want to have to send it back and wait for another. This was not a cheap handle, I really expected more of a quality handle. I should not have to work that to to make something new work. Very disappointed

First, thanks for the user video posted on how to assemble. I was replacing an older unit that we'd lost the key for, so it wasn't a total mystery. But I couldn't get the inner and outer handles to be tight against the door. I finally noticed that the long screw length in the seller's picture was shown as 1.57 inches but the ones provided were just under 2 inches. They were too long for my door, which was just about 1.4 inches thick. A trip to a hardware store for 2 10-32 X 1.5 inch flat head screws and it went together well. Oh, and I think I had to make 4 cuts on the pin coming out of the lock cylinder before I got it short enough.

I made an installation video to hopefully help some people out since this door handle comes without any instructions.Pros: seems well built and the price seems reasonable.Cons: No installation instructions.Note: In case the video doesn’t make it clear you only cut out a space for the black part of the center piece, not the full length of the center piece or else you won’t be able to screw it in on the top and bottom.

This was a difficult to install without instructions. Thanks to the prior customer feedback we managed to get the door handle replaced. Some of the screws had to be shortened and one screw head wasn’t formed correctly. Definitely a challenge but with patience it was installed. Lock from the outside is difficult to turn with the key.

This was a great product but just didn’t fit my door for mobile home sliding glass door

Can't use the locking mechanism at all. Despite all the previous measuring on the installed door handle at home, it turns out this still didn't fit. We had to use qty 3 washers on each screw in order to get the handle attached. The locking mechanism is skipped entirely, which leaves an inadequate handle - it's an inadequate handle in either case as it's strictly meant for keying purpose and not as a door handle - on the reverse (outside) portion of the door. So now need to order another handle, for the other side. And hoping the washers will maintain a tight fit. This is what happens when you don't want to buy a new door, and most of the handles are made to fit newer doors, not older ones. We need the nearly 5' spacing distance betw the door screws, and we got that, but the screws are too short for the door, by a fraction, but that means adding washers. This door handle is fantastic; I love it. But it's an expensive handle when that's all you're getting. And why isn't the locking mechanism built also for a sliding door exterior handle? What does that hurt? Except for a passage door handles are usually on both sides. UPDATE: There wasn't enough room between the edges of the slider to use the locking mechanism as a handle but we did decide to slip the locking mechanism to the other side so there is a bit more to work with in opening the door from the outside. It's not meant to be a handle, but that's what it's turned into. We don't even use the lock on the slider, but have a hardcore custom gate that has a bolt and it's own frame, so we're comparable or better on security. However, we did try ordering a two-handle set - thinking that meant two handles, one each side of the same door, but the two-handle set doesn't work together on the same door. So that was a return!

I purchased this patio door handle in May and it’s already broken.

Fit my sliding patio door almost perfectly. Had to adjust length of key mechanism, and the lock control arm insert was miss aligned. So a few adjustments and I can lock my patio door again.
