Dimensionally EXACT fit (very important) slightly Higher MERV than OEM Honeywell filter!
No gaps or tearing of edges like Other Brand Supposed filter for Honeywell Filter Housing - EXACT to the fraction inch fit ! Just Goes IN! High quality- slightly higher Merv than the original for better particle filtration without restricting flow. so Important to get OEM Filter - Had to trim or shim with cardboard filters "made for" this opening to avoid tearing or leakage.

Reduced Allergens; Perfect Fit
I had previously been using the Honeywell MERV-8 filters for my home, and they worked just fine. I have been having more allergy issues as I get older, so I wanted something with a higher filtration rating. These MERV-12 filters are about the same price as the MERV-8 filters if I were to buy them at my local hardware store. Buying the MERV-12 here has reduced my allergy symptoms, and it's delivered right to my door for the same price.Note: higher filtration ratings result in reduced airflow. This can place more of a load on your furnace blower, so just make sure to monitor things if you are switching over from a lower efficiency filter. In my furnace I have had no problems, but something to keep in mind.

Efficiency ratings vary...
I was way oversold the efficiency of the electronic systems and have replaced mine with the four inch Honeywell filters for the past couple of years, but I have two cautions.First, the advertising says you can go up to year on a filter. However, I have two pets and an active family and have discovered that I have to absolutely replace the filter every three months. Or less! I've even had my furnace shut down in three months because the filter was so dirty. Also, note that the filters are rated by their efficiency. A "merv" rating of thirteen is the highest and I think eight is the lowest--one merv point makes a big difference!--and they're priced accordingly. Many merchants that seem to have the lowest prices are quoting prices on the less efficient filters, so be aware. (I was using a filter rated a merv of twelve for a long time and thinking I was using the best.)

Awesome quality & price, Consumers can't go wrong with this filter!
I typically purchase filters that are rated MERV 13, and though this manufacturer has labeled this filter as a MERV 12, it is every much equal in performace and quality compared to a MERV 13 filter. I read other Amazon reviews, one or two were concerned about the filter being too dense and potentially putting a strain on a furnace blower/fan. So, I asked my Carrier dealer to evaluate the filter and whether it is appropriate for my Carrier Weather Maker Furnace. It passed his inspection and he acknowledge/approved for it to be used in my central system. Some furnaces have energy saver motors on their units which may not be powerful enough to accommodate a 4 or 5 inch pleated filter, and should that be the case, then by all means it could be cause for concern. However, I plan to keep buying this filter and at the time of this posting I have now purchased five. And thanks to Amazon for stocking and selling these exclusively.

Made a difference
Fit my furnace with no problems. I had seen several reviews, for several brands, for the 4" filter, that it was never wide enough. I didn't have that issue. And I truly think the higher MERV value purchased versus what was in there when we bought the house, made a huge difference in air quality and need for dusting as much. I think they're rated for 4 months or longer, but we replace the filters every 3 months. I think most HVAC guys recommend every 3 months so that is what we do.

Perfect fit and experience!
Filter arrived next day without damage. Perfect fit for my York furnace. I just had a new furnace installed in September and the Honeywell filter I replaced was the original installed by the contractor. Original was a 11Merv but the one I ordered was a 12 Merv. Some say these are good for 12 months but after seeing the dust in the original I couldn’t wait until September. I figure I’ll replace every 4-6 months. Honeywell filters seem to be constructed slightly better than Filtrete filters.

Very good, but also expensive.
This is what fits my furnace, and I trust this filter/brand better than no-brand filters.i.e. I'm not trying to save money on this, as I'd rather have more dust, pollen and whatnot caught in the filter.I think there's a mention that the filter can last 1 year, but your mileage will vary. In my case, I change it 3 times per year, and each time it's dirty. A dirty filter might catch less "Stuff", but mostly it will be less efficient in letting the air go through. That means wasting on heat (and/or cooling). So I prefer changing as often as with the thinner filters.pros: works. Just remove it and look at it...cons: expensive. Also no option to get recurring buys.

It's an air filter. A good one... but still just an air filter.
This is a great filter, made specifically for a Honeywell system. Works well. My biggest issue would be with Amazon's subscribe and save feature. This filter calls for replacement annually. And the closest Amazon's Subscribe and Save feature comes is 6 months. If I had two of these systems it would be perfect, but I don't so it is just annoying.

Excellent Filtration - Cleaner Air & Less Dust
Replaced EAC cells in two Honeywell units that were installed 17 years ago, when one unit quit recently. Units are obsolete but can be operated with paper filters. Was curious to see if these filters cleaned the air better than the metal cells - they do. After operating them for a week (furnace fans always run 24/7) we’ve noticed air is fresher and less dust on furniture. Am also looking forward to not washing four filter cells every 5-6 weeks (two furnace system / two AC also). Don’t like ongoing cost and disposable nature of the paper cells, but am hoping this will be 2-3 times a year only based on other reviews. There are cost offsets including no electricity cost to operate EAC’s, water and consumables to run dishwasher. Deciding factor is the improved air quality.
