Put simply, they fit exactly where the old LEDs do. It'll take a little bit of work to get there but once you've carefully gotten to the backlight area, it's trivial to cut a slit into the paper and pop the old ones out and the new ones in. The adhesive backing makes it a much quicker job than I thought. As you can see from the picture, the light is absolutely solid from the new strips. Highly recommended.

Watch uToob video: "TV shuts down/black Screen?", to see how to access the backlights on the TCL 55S425.Video shows him replacing individual LED's, just use these backlight LED's because they already have adhesive backing.Take your time and follow the video procedure and it is easy. My original LED's were hot-glued and had to be pried off, after unscrewing and removing clear plastic spikes from each LED bar. Clean surface with alcohol pad to remove residue. Each of the 4 LED bars has it's own small wire connector and must be careful removed first. I also used an X-acto knife to cut several small white plastic backing reflector pieces that were crossing/bridging each LED bar. Cut ONLY what is necessary and be careful not to cut the four wired connectors for each LED bar. What white plastic needs to be cut and removed isn't near the wires/connectors, so not a big concern. Just be aware where the wires are when cutting the back white plastic reflector pieces from across the LED Bars. Then Peel and stick new LED's bars, with connector towards the middle, onto back panel. Do the same for all 4 LED bars. Remember to set TV brightness to "Normal" to extend the LED backlight life, upon replacement.

These LED strips were a perfect fit for our 3-year old TLC 55S423 TV that went completely dark. They arrived after a few days well packed in a cylinder container. These include an adhesive backing that, along with some YouTube guides, helped make for a clean easy install. Just had to make sure some small holes lined up with metal dimples on the mounting surface before sticking them down. The toughest part was removing the old ones that had a lot of black adhesive under them. I used a guitar pick and credit card to loosen them, working from the outer ends toward the connectors, then cleaned away any loose residue. I wore rubber gloves while working with the exposed screen surfaces to help keep them as clean as possible until re-assembled. There's a lot of small screws, so taking a few pictures along the way helps keep track of where they go. The display looks good now. Hopefully that will remain the case for a few more years.

Tv flashed and went dark could still here it and see pictures very faintly on the screen so I knew the back lights went out, ordered these and installed it’s a bit of work doing and you have to be careful but there are videos of how to take the tv apart. These fit perfectly easily unplugged the old one’s and plugged in the new one’s. Last picture shows how bright the tv is.
